I was never worried about my earphones going dead after the first charge and I found that I could go almost all day without having to put the earphones back in their charging case.Fit/Feel - The Skullcandy earphones come with several different-sized gummies for the earbud to conform to your ear regardless of size. The headphones are easy to interact with as well, with taps on each earbud correlating to different actions, you need almost no interaction with your phone once you learn them! The earbuds are slightly chunky and not as clean looking as some other options, but not terrible on the eyes. The black coating easily hides the earbud and doesn't show dirt or wear bad at all.Sound - What we are allll here for, these earbuds pack a punch! Certainly not AirPods pro level - but also not at the same price. I say these certainly compete with AirPods and other $100 earphones and sound way better than a cheaper knockoff from online retailers or Raycon. The sound can be adjusted quite easily through the app included by Skullcandy. They pack enough bass to listen to EDM and aren’t any one sound more than the other (aka bass heavy). While these aren’t noise canceling, it is quite easy to drown out outside noise due to the volume capability from the earbuds and the good seal due to the highly variable ear tip gummies. Conclusion - These headphones sit in a prime spot, as they are better than more expensive earphones, worth it over knockoffs, and those similarly priced are steps behind in comfort and sound quality. I think that, while these Skullcandys are a little chunky looking, and the case could feel more “quality” - they execute what they are supposed to do, sounding good and feeling comfortable, and do it quite well. At the $55 price, these are simply a no-brainer for headphones you can use for anything while sounding great. They also come with the benefit that should you lose one, they are cheap enough that it doesn’t ruin your day. I wouldn’t recommend any other headphones over these at this price range and is yet another hit by Skullcandy in their quest to take back the earbud market. As always, BestBuy has excellent customer service and a great return policy, so you never have to worry about buying a product that you don’t like.

Let me start off by saying that, while I've used over a dozen different Bluetooth headsets over the years, this is only my second pair of truly wireless earbuds because I've historically preferred a bulkier form factor (e.g. over-ear, or whatever you call that style that looks like a pair of Bluetooth phone earpieces from like 2008 joined by a wire) with the physical space for something resembling an actual user interface. But I've been very happy with these earbuds after using them on and off over several days of generic work-from-home computer audio, including 8 or 9 hours of holiday music. The earpieces are super comfy - more so than the only other pair of wireless earbuds I've tried, and actually more so than the vast majority of wired, as well. They also *seem* ... MoreLet me start off by saying that, while I've used over a dozen different Bluetooth headsets over the years, this is only my second pair of truly wireless earbuds because I've historically preferred a bulkier form factor (e.g. over-ear, or whatever you call that style that looks like a pair of Bluetooth phone earpieces from like 2008 joined by a wire) with the physical space for something resembling an actual user interface. They also *seem* reasonably secure, though I didn't attempt to push my luck by testing this with vigorous activity (e.g. lively exercise, head-banging). I also didn't bother attempting to change out the default tips since they felt fine as-is. Bluetooth (un)pairing is *super* easy and painless, and is as simple and convenient as just opening and closing the charging case.BUT OH MY GOD YOU GUYS, THE SOUND QUALITY. These are far and away the best sound quality I've *ever* gotten from any wireless pair of headphones in my life, ever - regardless of form or technology. Even without customizing anything via the EQ in the mobile app (since I used them exclusively with my laptop), I got rich, full - *warm* - sound in all ranges of bass; treble; and mid. Not once has the audio cut out or exhibited any form of latency or delay for any reason, which is a problem I've sporadically experienced with various other pairs of wireless devices. Though they aren't advertised as being actively noise-cancelling, I actually notice a minor "passive" effect thereof just from the nice seal the rubber gasket tip parts (is there a formal name for those things?) make in my ear, which was a bit of a pleasant surprise.Though I put them back in the charging case when not in use, I haven't had to recharge the whole affair once the whole time I've had them. Skullcandy claims about a 7 hour battery life for the earbuds themselves. and a total battery capacity of something like 34 hours between charging case and 'buds. I see absolutely no reason to doubt either of those figures as I'm likely pushing something close to about 28 total by now (4 workdays as of this writing × a bit less than 7 hours per day).My only substantive criticisms are ergonomic. Because of their slightly unconventional shape and their odd orientation relative to the recess in the charging case, it takes a bit of getting used to putting them back in the charging case *just right* (the only other pair of wireless earbuds I've used share a form factor with Apple Airpods, and thus largely put themselves away for you without any thought and with a minimum of fuss). Because of their miniscule size and the need for a relatively broader array of functions than can be adequately mapped to a total of 2 buttons, the whole "one button per side" user interface is less-than-intuitive or -satisfactory, and actually using the buttons themselves is not an altogether great experience. The mobile app apparently lets you customize button functions, but I found myself just using the desktop audio controls on my computer instead for simplicity. I suspect most users won't have the ergonomic issues I do, or they at least won't be quite as big of a concern.Overall, a fantastic pair of Bluetooth earbuds for general-purpose use that - dare I say - will satisfy even a discerning audiophile.

I have the special edition snake skin crusher headphones though the extra base no longer works, I've had dozens of skullcandy products. These after everything are fine but as someone excited about skullcandy most of my life, they are kind of meh. I had the sesh evo true wireless b4 these, and it's hard to figure what makes these 2x more expensive, skullcandy to me is unlike othe brands they care about each product standing out on their own, I even remember showing people the customer service recordings because they were funny. But now, with both earbuds and headphones, I don't really see what's the difference in about 8 earbuds you guys carry, and the same with the headphones, I loved my crusher red, and have the snake skin ones still, so a black wireless crusher that doesn't need a double A battery in it to boost base to me is the perfect Christmas gift, but you guys have 3 of them now crusher anc being the most expensive, and yes you have reviews and specs. But very little to make me understand would I be fine with the 80 pair or would I feel like I'm settling would I be glad I bought the 350 dollar pair or feel like I waisted my money because the same thing almost goes for 80. Skull candy used to have profiles for each product and each product did one thing well above the rest and that was each feature the bass boosted pair, the Profesional pair, the budget oair , ect, the way its set up I feel skull candy now makes a good product, then weakens it to make several versions of it. It feels less genuine and also makes it harder to tell what is worth buying, I've always loved skullcandy, and I'm sure if I had the top of ths line earbuds and the best headphones you make, I'd defend them against any other brand any day of the week, but I'm a man with a budget, and sadly I've spent hundreds of dollars on cheaper versions hoping to live up to what I know skullcandy can make only to feel I own something intentionally watered down, and u get you need more affordable options, I'm not saying to not make affordable cheaper versions I just wish their was a way to know these are the pair you can justify paying g this much for they work as perfect for your specific needs. I feel again the easy answer is just buy the most expensive ones and they are the best, but for someone not able to afford the best, it would be easier if I knew the difference of everything inbetween a little better cuz I've probably added up enough to buy a ton of the best pairs over the years slowly going through the cheaper options and had I known I'd have had the perfect ones from the start. These ear buds are no exception. I had a warranty return they gave me 60 bucks credit and I got these but could have gotten the sesh evos again on sale for 30 so I could ha e had 2 of them, I wish I had done that instead of buying these I dint feel at all like I have a different t pair of earbuds then b4 they don't seem better in anyway, and I'd have a back up pair if my earbud broke again if I had 2, to be far finally I have a pair of skullcandy that actually connects to the app, skullcandy fan my whole life basically never owned anything that acutely worked with ur app b4. Never was able to see how the app worked, spokes and sesh evo don't connect to it, finally connected to it, again kind of a let down, theirs not really much too the app, I thought ud have fan testimonials or videos or stories something details on products, why u should by this ine and not thay one, but no theirs better eq apps on the market the work with the pairs of headphones u sell and don't support so agai. I find myself a bit sad and let down by a company I once considered I tattoo of, I wish I was excited by your products still. I miss the joy if skullcandy

Good headphones, excellent for the price

I'm a big fan of Skullcandy 'phones. Generally they perform above their price point and are durable and well supported. I often recommend them to people who are prone to losing their stuff or who lose them easily. They're especially great for students or people who travel a lot. The Mod TW earbuds are no exception. The first thing you'll notice is that the case is a little on the larger side compared to some competitors. While this is true, Skullcandy claims that you'll get over 30 hours of charge time out of the earbuds and case. That's an insane amount of time and usually gets me through a week of commuting on the train. While the case is a little chonky it is contoured nicely so its easy to get into and out of a pocket. The hinge on the case is also very sturdy and opens and closes with some force so they won't open in your pocket. While they're comfortable I have a little bit of a challenge getting a good seal. I'm still playing around with the extra eartips. I tend to run into this problem with most earphones and switch over to foam third-party tips eventually.Sound quality is good. They are not nearly as good as my Bose or Apple earphones, but are more than acceptable at a much lower price point. They are very bass heavy but I tend to like a lot of bass. Highs are good without being overpowered with a touch of sibilance. The excellent Skullcandy app allows you to EQ them to your personal taste. The app also includes settings to change what the earbuds do when you tap them and even prompts you to download the Tile app so you can find the case using the built in Tile tracker. Excellent for teens and others who misplace their stuff often. While these aren't noise cancelling they do a good job of sealing out the train noise, but I'm still able to hear the announcements so I don't miss my stop.Definitely consider these as a primary set of earbuds or even as a back-up set for travel and commuting in situations where you might not want to lose much more expensive ones.

Great Sound, Great Features, Great Price!

The Skullcandy Mod True Wireless Earbuds come packed with features usually not found at this affordable price point. You can customize the app buttons, use preset as well as custom equalizer settings, connect to 2 audio sources and switch between them quickly and use with one earbud or both. The earbuds are rated to last 7 hours on their internal batteries and 27 more hours through the compact charging case for a rated total of 34 hours. I haven't had an occasion to use them for more than 2 hours continuously and the app showed the earbuds still having almost 90% of the charge. The earbuds are rated IP55 dust and water resistant. I found the preset music EQ setting missing something but was able to switch to the custom EQ setting and make adjustments that made the earbuds sound perfect to me. I only have tried the stay aware mode twice briefly. I wasn't really comfortable that I could hear enough of what was going on around me and ended up both times I wanted to use it removing one earbud so that I had one ear open to the surroundings and one for music. I intend to try the stay aware mode again in a private controlled environment instead of in public and perhaps I can become more comfortable using this function in public. Many earbuds and headphones will not reach the maximum volume that I want. I've never been sure whether I should blame the safety features of my phone or the earbuds. These earbuds reached an acceptable level without maxing out the volume every time. I'm impressed with these earbuds. They have the features and sound quality of earbuds costing four times their price. If I could change one thing, I would ask for extra small ear gels.

High quality sounds and improved voice

The skull candy pocket sized mod true wireless earbuds. I have been a believer in Skullcandy products over the years and this is the second pair of wireless Skullcandy earbuds that I have owned. They have definitely improved the earphone quality as well as the mic quality because when I am talking to somebody, I don’t get feedback and or static in the mic. They have also improved the battery life on these by about 4 to 6 hours, compared to what I have had in the past with their products. They are very easy to pair and set up with an Apple iPhone. The two drawbacks that I have, one they do offer different earbud sizes, but the way it fits in your ear if you have it in there for longer than an hour or so, the inner ear begins to hurt a little bit. The two drawbacks that I have, one they do offer different earbud sizes, but the way it fits in your ear if you have it in there for longer than an hour or so, the inner ear begins to hurt a little bit. Maybe it just takes time to get used to, but for the time that I wore it for the first week, if I had them in my ear for the typical six hours, my inner ear was tender. I tried switching different earbud rubber pieces, but they did not make a difference. I determined it’s just the actual plastic from the earbud itself thats causing the irritation. It has nothing to do with the actual rubber ear bud pieces. Also, the need for outside sound cancelling is not there either. You can hear people fine, it would just be more beneficial if you had other things going on around you.Overall, I would give this product a four out of five stars. The only reason why I’m taking off anything would be that I cannot adjust the bud enough in my ear to fix the irritation it gives my ear while in use.Everything else is good from the charge time, to the life span of the product while it’s in use, to the quality of the speaker and microphone. You might have better success than I do with a specific earbud.

These earbuds are just okay. There are some clear flaws, but for the price, maybe they’re just what you’re looking for. I have owned various skullcandy wireless earbuds over the years so I’ve grown accustomed to their mediocre quality. The skullcandy earbuds that I used before the Mod earbuds were called Indy Evo True Wireless Earbuds (average retail $40). They come close as to quality, but I think I like the Indy Evo earbuds slightly more because I feel like they fit in my ears better and are easier to charge. I have always struggled to find earbuds that fit my ears well. The Mod earbuds come with 3 different sizes for the rubber part that goes in your ear, and I have found that the smallest size is best for me. I have always struggled to find earbuds that fit my ears well. The Mod earbuds come with 3 different sizes for the rubber part that goes in your ear, and I have found that the smallest size is best for me. Now for pros and cons.Pros:• You can change the volume, skip or go back to a previous song, pause, and answer a call simply by touching the ear buds (press left earbud twice to turn down volume, hold down on right earbud to skip a song, etc.).• Easy to pair to multiple devices.Cons:• It’s hard to tell when the case is done charging because there’s a red light that blinks when you first plug it in but then it goes off after a few seconds and there is no light to indicate when it’s done charging.• The instructions say that the light on the case will turn red when the earbuds are charging and blue when they’re done, but I have never seen the blue light come on no matter how long the earbuds have been in the case.• The charging cord is incredibly short so you have to plug it into your laptop instead of a USB wallport to charge.• The earbuds don’t always turn on automatically when you take them out of the case like they’re supposed to.• Sometimes it’s hard to remember how the controls work and I’ll accidently skip a song when I meant to turn up the volume.• The sound quality is not great.Lastly, the instructions that come with the earbuds are not robust at all, and the charging cord for the case confused me at first because it doesn’t look like a normal USB, but it does actually fit into the USB port. Overall, I think you could do better with another brand or the Skullcandy Indy Evo earbuds.

Nice Features and Performance - Great Value
15 December 2022

I’ll start off by saying I’m really happy so far with these earbuds. The features and performance at this price point make an excellent value. My typical use is for work (connected to both a computer and phone simultaneously through the multi-pairing feature) and then while walking / running / cycling (only connected to my phone).Upon first putting the earbuds in my ears, I was quite impressed with how secure the fit was. Normally for athletic use, I will only use earbuds that have some type of security loop over the top of my ear. I was able to run and cycle with these earbuds in and there was absolutely no risk of them falling out—a big win in my book.I paired the earbuds to my phone first, and then followed the instructions for multi-pairing to my computer. ... MoreI’ll start off by saying I’m really happy so far with these earbuds. The process was easy and quick. The earbuds do a good job and switching back and forth between the devices. For example, if I am on the computer and my phone rings, the earbuds switch over to the phone. When I am finished with the phone call, the earbuds switch back to the computer. The function is not perfect—for example, if I am listening to a podcast through my phone and I am clicking through Windows Explorer on the computer, my podcast audio will get interrupted by the mouse clicks through the file structure. A minor annoyance.Downloading the Skullcandy app on my phone, I was able to perform some more advanced features and access a very detailed user guide. The app allows custom or preset sound equalization, custom button press assignments, and activating the “stay aware” feature. The “stay aware” feature works well in an office or home setting, but not in any athletic mode. When walking / running / cycling outside, the wind noise amplification with the “stay aware” on is nothing short of deafening. However, the app does make it easy to turn on and off. I was able to custom assign a button press sequence to activate Siri, which I do at times while cycling to respond to a text message. I think this is better than the “Hey Skullcandy” feature of previous model earbuds. The buttons on both earbuds are rather easy to locate and activate with bare fingers or with lighter gloves, such as cycling gloves. This makes it easy to advance tracks, pause, resume, and complete other functions on the ear buds.Podcasts, newscasts, and voice calls come through crystal clear. The microphone also works well, and I have not gotten any complaints during phone calls that my voice was distorted or faded. I did not have the chance to test the noise reduction on phone calls while on a walk on a breezy day, but it would be a pleasant surprise if these earbuds perform better at that task than other earbuds I’ve owned in the past that were dismal at it.With music, you’re not going to get thumpy bass, but it is adequate enough for casual listening while outdoors walking, running, or on the bike. Because the earbuds don’t stick out of my ears as much as other brands, the wind noise while cycling is not as bad as other brands. Overall, music sound quality is good. The charging case is compact and provides a quick charge for 2 hours of use in about 10 minutes. With a full charge, I was able to wear the earbuds on and off during a full day of work on a single charge.Overall, the features and performance of these earbuds is super for the price, making them a great value. The secure fit, multi-pairing, button customization, and sound quality are all very positive.

Skullcandy Mod exceed my expectations
14 December 2022

I am amazed how well these Skullcandy earbuds sound, they exceed my expectations with the features included and best of all of good value. The earbuds have Bluetooth version 5.2 so they have a very nice range. They do feel comfortable in the ear and I like that included there are two other pair of silicone tips small and large plus the medium size on the earbuds. The battery life is great, ten minutes gives 2 hours of music and fully charged I get up to 7 hours plus 27 hours more with the case. So vacationing with these earbuds is a good idea. They do have IP55 so they are water, sweat and dust resistant, I took them to the gym and for an outdoor run and I did enjoy them.Answering a call is just a push of a button and I also like how clear the voice comes to the ... MoreI am amazed how well these Skullcandy earbuds sound, they exceed my expectations with the features included and best of all of good value. And I can also use one earbud or both, depending on my need.I also enjoy the Stay Aware mode; it lets me listen to my music while I can hear the vehicles or surroundings on those outdoor runs.Another thing to like is how well the instructions are given on how to use them.I found myself pushing the buttons while holding the back of the earbuds since they are not soft touch, but I did not expect them to be soft touch due to their price. And speaking of the buttons: they let you play, pause, answer and end call as well as volume up and down, track back and forward, in other words everything I need on my earbuds. If you have any questions, either the app has the answer or their website as well so Skullcandy offers plenty of information on how to use them.I am enjoying my Skullcandy Mod True Wireless Earbuds more than I thought.

Ultra sweat-resistant earbuds.

These are in my top favorite ear-buds of all time. The only time I ever really use ear-buds are for outdoor activities, so I am rating these on their stability in physical motion, sweat resistance, and basic audio quality. I run 5-days out of the week, and always have podcasts or music playing. When it comes to ear-buds, the most important thing for me, even before audio quality, is the ear canal stability. I can immediately tell upon sticking it in my ear if an ear-bud is for me. These Skullcandy Mod ear-buds fit nice and snug into my ears - no motion whatsoever when bouncing and taking a step, and they never feel like they lose grip when sweating. They are by far one of the best when it comes to this style, they are just as good if not better than the ones that hook around your ear. These are rated IP55 sweat resistance, and I can vouch for them. I am an excessive head sweater, and these have not died on me, or randomly unpaired, not one issue. I have had wireless earbuds quit after a couple days of sweating. The texture of the coating on these feels very water-proof. Overall sound quality is great. I would not say they are the best I have come across, but they definitely pack a punch with the bass.I also downloaded the Skullcandy app, and was able to change sound mode settings, which is cool. Through the app, you can change the configuration on the buttons, and other fun little things - download it if you have the phone space! Upon opening the box, you will find a "quick start" style pamphlet that explains everything you really need to know. Overall, I would strongly recommend these ear-buds, especially if you are an active person.
