None of the above are for cameras not telescopes. The Sky-Watcher was great for viewing the moon but not for stars. Still its a good starter, but can easily be knocked off focus.

This appears to be an excellent starter scope - I've not had a chance to test it properly yet, as it's been too cloudy! :( But hopefully when it clears I'll get excellent views of the moon - I've given 4 stars for now as it all seems very high quality for the price and will try to update this once I've managed to get proper use from it.There are a couple of things I would mention - The scope can only be used for looking at the stars and night sky as everything is upside down - Also, aligning the spotter scope was a little tricky but nothing too difficult

This was bought as a Christmas present for a 6 year old after reading reviews elsewhere. Now I will say that he was expecting to be able to see the martians on Mars, so expectations were high... Well it's not quite that good, but so far we've seen a whole lot of lunar craters in better detail than I expected at this price point. Just looking at stars in the night sky is a revelation as you can see many, many more not visible to the naked eye. With a good free app like Planets showing you where to point, you can see the major constelations clearly. This is especially helped by the 25mm wide angle lens that ships as well as the 10mm higher magnification.Looking at the moon for extended periods can be tiring on the eyes, so I'd recommend you make use of the discounts ... We've also bought a budget 2x Barlow lens which with a little bit of effort does give some significantly better detail. The base makes it incredibly easy to align and it's turdy enough that you won't have to worry about younger astronomers being hands on.Our next step is to get involved with a local club so we can see what other people are using and plan our next upgrade!
