Received my SNS XL a couple weeks ago and have definitely enjoyed the much added room for indirect cooking. For anyone with a 26'er you will be surprised how much bigger it gets with the SNS.Have yet to do a low and slow but have done 2 dry runs to get an idea on where to put the vents and see how long it will last.Pros...* Easy to setup for high or low heat. Pretty much just light it and go once you have it figured out.* Burn efficiency. When setup for high heat I was impressed with how long it lasted. Could have easily cooked another meal 2 or 3 hours later on the same coals.* Quality. Im not an engineer or expert by any means but this is a solid piece of metal. You will notice this is not the cheap knock off baskets from box stores.Cons...* For low and ... Keep in mind I have only done 2 dry runs both lasted a little over 8 hours. Going to keep an open mind on this and reserve the right to change it.Overall I am quite happy with it and would absolutely recommend this to anyone.

I’ve had my slow n sear for 2 and a half years now and I love it. I use my kettle at least twice a week and it has made smoking exponentially easier. It’s well made and is well worth the money. I’ve had multiple friends buy their own after seeing how easy it use to make their kettle a smoker. I plan on getting a 26” kettle soon and will definitely buy a second slow n sear for it as well. Keep up the great work!

I have been using the SNS XL for about a year and a half now and it really is a necessary item for any Weber / Kettle griller! However it is lacking one item! A DRIP AND GRIDDLE pan to match! I mean you have the SNS for the 22's and a drip pan for the 22's but no drip pan for the 26"! ...I know you can use the 22" pan but I mean you would still need to foil the bottom in order to prevent air from coming up the sides and drips from large peace's of meat from going in between the pan and kettle sides! I really think you all need to make the 26" version of the Drip and Griddle pan! I would be the first customer!
I've had the SNS XL for about a month or so. I was using the SNS 2.0 in my 26" kettle but adding the XL allows me to keep the 2.0 in my 22".I've made ribs and pulled pork for the slow with water in the water reservoir, and they have turned out great. Most often I cook indirect without water and then finish with a sear. I highly recommend this if you have a 26" kettle. It is only slightly more sear space than the 2.0 (when you take out the reservoir on the 2.0) but it fits the curve of the bowl better. It is extremely thick and sturdy. It seems like it should last a lifetime.
Fits great in the Weber 26". Provides for a great low and slow grill. The Slow 'N Sear helps maintain desirable temperatures. Wife says it makes the best roasted corn. The water basket keeps meat from drying and helps steam vegetables. Some of the best chicken and roasts so far. Also, bison burgers were easy to cook with the SnS and Weber set up. Frozen burgers also tasted great and cooked with ease.. Looking forward to cooking fish and shrimp. Cooked chicken lastnight with no seasoning (not required) along with my first attempt at grilled mushrooms. Everything turns out excellent. Some of the best tasting, healthier meals cooked with the Slow 'N Sear. Thank you for a great product.
If ALL you cook are competition briskets, buy a premium stick burner or pellet grill. Otherwise, this thing is perfect. Steaks, burgers, butts, ribs and especially chicken are absolutely outstanding using the SnS. If you look at videos of Weber restaurants, it appears that they cook using a similar (same?) system. I also have the ss drip pan and original ss grill grate and think that they well worth the money and glad that I purchased them. All three items should last a VERY long time.
First off let me start by saying I probably wouldn't review the sns at all except for the 30th email I have deleted since ordering. Now let me review. Product was on back order and I still wanted to give this thing a try. So I purchased and I waited. While I waited I still wanted to use my grill so I learned some other ways of slow cooking and searing which were awesome. By the time I got the sns I contemplated returning it but decided to give it a chance. I pulled it out of the box and discovered some shoddy tack welds a terrible polish job and to be honest I wasn't sure if this thing would hold water much less hold together. I just expected better for what I paid. But again I spent $$$ on this thing and threw it in my grill first thing was some carne asada. It ... I just expected better for what I paid. But again I spent $$$ on this thing and threw it in my grill first thing was some carne asada. It seared. But a week prior I had used the Webber baskets and got the same results if not better. Having things a week apart it's hard to tell. Next up I want to try the slow so I followed the instructions and threw on a brisket. The temp was so difficult to control compared to the snake method i had used a few weeks prior on some pork butt.So would I buy it again? No. Would I recommend it? No. Am I happy I spent the amount of $$$ I did on this product? No. Am I asking for a refund? No. I consider this a failed investment.
I purchased the SnS XL recently.I had to wait a little while for it to be delivered due to the current virus situation. While waiting I started to wonder if I had spent too much, should I have bought it, ?ect.Well, I can tell you that the SnS XL does everything its supposed to do excellently!I can hold low temperatures for hours on end with ease, (no more building snakes) and it can be filled with a full lit chimney and be set to inferno!I love this thing, it's well built out of premium material and will last two lifetimes.I certainly recommend the SnS.
been a weber guy my entire life. My dad raised me on them. I'm 68 years old now. This is the best accessory ever. Well built and it works flawlessly. No more snake method for me.Thanks for an awesome product.
