It’s very sturdy and form fitting. I thought it might be too stiff as it sat a little awkwardly on the shin in the beginning (might have just been the way I put it on the first time), but after moving around a little, it shifted into place on its own and sat very comfortably on my shins.
Fantastic quality especially when you compare with other brands often double the price. And as usual SMAI shipped out really promptly
Well priced shin guards, the velcro strap system means it fits people even if they have slightly bigger legs. There is quite a curve to the shin guards which may take a bit of use to fit some people if they have bigger legs. The black looks great & they absorb a lot of impact.

Unfortunately, some of the stitching is coming away after only a week of light use, but If they last half as long as my previous Smai shin pads, I'll be happy. I have yet to spar in them but have used them for pad and bag work to break them in, and they are comfortable and don't move around or need readjusting. I have yet to find a pair of shin pads that fit my shins straight out of the bag (I think my legs must be bent, lol), but I find Smai guards the most comfortable, having tried both Twins and Fairtex in the past and these are the better fit for my legs. Overall, they are a great product, only missing the total five-star rating due to the stitching separating so early.
I bought 2 of these shin guards for me and my friend but none of us like them. Very narrow and doesnt stick to the shin as other shin guards do. Difficult to raise the legs while blocking the kicks. The material outside looks like hard cardborad and gets wrinkled in 1-2 sessions. Inside material sucks a lot of sweat and smells stinky.
1st time order and will continue to re-stock.Boys love the hard protection on outside and the cushioned comfort on inside!Great width velcro straps at back!
