This is the second time I have bought the Smaksak. I first renovated a 90s kitchen and it was the perfect choice- fantastic value. This current purchase was to replace a European name brand that was in my brand new apartment. It is perfect.

I have had my oven for about three months now and I love it. I am amazed at how quickly it pre heats and how evenly it cooks. I used it to bake my Christmas Cake and the result was perfect. I spent a lot of time researching various European ovens and the Smaksak was by far the best value based on price, features and warranty.

I have had my oven for about three months now and I love it. I am amazed at how quickly it pre heats and how evenly it cooks. I used it to bake my Christmas Cake and the result was perfect. I spent a lot of time researching various European ovens and the Smaksak was by far the best value based on price, features and warranty.
The Smaksak oven is great I have not tried all the setting yet, but the ones I have used are fabulous.
As someone who cooks and bakes a lot, this oven has all the features. Used the self cleaning feature and it was really good experience. Very big inside. I really like the lock and appreciate the feature.
Have baked bread, roasted food and cooked a sponge cake. All came out well. Some that involve roasting with a stock could probably be done with less liquid as the oven really locks in the moisture - it lets out a cloud of steam when the door is opened for dishes involving quite a lot of liquid.
Looks good, heats well, cooks well. However this oven is completely let down by the convoluted and frustrating controls.When the timer on the over comes to an end, the oven will shut off and there is no way to continue cooking unless you turn the oven off & then back on again & set your temperature again. Also when just using the timer function, the time increase increments are 5 seconds, so to set a time of say 20 mins you must cycle all the way through 5 sec increments until you come to your desired time. Could be a good oven but it's just frustrating.
