Fantastic monitor. Still lacking it's multiplex feature that's been hyped for a minute. But besides that, it works like you'd expect. Has the classic/questionable joystick menu that works reasonably well. And it has great color reproduction that you'd expect from an OLED monitor. You only have the choice between this and Sony as of right now for a high-end produciton OLED. FSI just announced their 22, but from reading the spec sheet, it seems like it's practically the same panel, but with less features in the monitors OS. (No multiplex and only 2x SDI's on the FSI.) The Sony OLED also only has 2x SDI... So in my book, that makes SmallHD the better choice here.The problem I was faced on set was the color off-set out of the box. It comes calibrated from the factory, but having used the monitor with 2 of my Sony 17 OLEDs, you could see there was a color shift on the SmallHD, which is common with any brand new OLED monitor in it's first 100 hours of operation. Just a thing to note if you take it out on a job right away, the colors will be off and you'll need to get it calibrated. I gave it manual adjustments to lock it in as close as possible to the Sony's by eye initially. I'll be bringing it to AbelCine for proper calibration soon.The acrylic protective cover that comes with it... Is very delicate. I used a microfiber cloth and scratched the hell out of it very quickly on my first day of use. I had the Deluxe Anti-Glare screen protector laying around unused at that point and had so put it on instead of the one that came with it due to how scratched up it got in just 1 day. The Deluxe protector seems to be working fine though. I will not be removing it from the monitor. Fits flush with the product design.Excuse the brain ramble on this review, just writing important notes as they come to mind. I do recommend this product.
