The cage is restricting access to buttons C1&C2It feels solid, but it's bulky. The frame is very thick, and there is 0.5 cm gap between the camera and the cage, on the left side.I'm returning it and trying another model.

The best insurance for your camera against the school of hard knocks is a camera cage, and Small Rig makes some of the best. I actually use the cage, not only as the base rig for my video buildout, but by itself -- handheld -- for photography when hiking in the great outdoors, as the cage helps to provide protection to the camera when I'm climbing to reach an odd location and the camera is swinging by my side on its sling. The cage does not interfere with any functionality, not even with the camera strap.
