Cheap enough to buy several, and thus have extra control over balancing (moving the camera/battery/display around separately). The screw down mechanism has less risk of damaging the rails than some others I've run into, and the distance between screw holes makes it perfect for being able to have both a Sigma fp and its EF lens mount adapter separately attached.

I'm on my second build of a camera rig and constantly getting new parts, rethinking the build, and upgrading it. I got this to replace another SR rod and clamp piece that made the rig much taller. It does what it’s supposed to do. I put mine on my Pocket 4K. There are enough screws to allow for it to be attached to my cage a couple different ways.
I really wanted to like this thing more. I love its practical design, and it seems well made. It is just not a great fit for the rig I had in mind. I?m sure I?ll find a use for it (probably mounted on an auxiliary tripod). It?s good value for what it is.
Good product. Well made as Smallrig is use to do. Great alternative for the price to add rods to a compact setting. Easy to setup.
Where this comes in really handy is if you have a tall camera like mine and you want to use a Matte Box. I have a Canon C100 and it sat too high for the box, the lenses wouldn't line up with the opening on the box. This lowered the camera on the rails just enough to work great.
Used this with a BMPCC 6K and it works as described. Allows you to add matte boxes and follow focus gears to to the camera. Feels solid with no fuss.
This fits perfectly with my existing shoulder rig and the screws are easily interchangable and easy to assemble. The mount itself is sturdy which is enough to support my camera which is heavy in itself. This will definitely serve me well during video shoots.
