The phone is bigger and the screen is much bigger and nicer, the tradeoff being even less of a one handed experience, it's a little tighter in the pocket, and the battery life is not improved. Speaking of the battery, while it doesn't seem to give better runtime, the 65w fast charging is lightning fast, and even when using my old 15w oem warp charger from the 6t the 9pro fully charges from under 50% in about 20 minutes. Connects to things like headphones unreliably, often it refuses to output sound unless I restart the phone and it makes static when I walk with phone in rear pants pockets. It seems to struggle to run basic apps like YouTube, Instagram, Reddit. As well as it just does terrible running the Epson print app or the Ricoh photo connect app The phone is improved in very few ways and I think it seems less reliable than previous model. So it's an ok device and a weak phone and I don't think it was ever a flagship level phone, it's good enough if it can be purchased for under $500. One plus was running a promotion that when combined with my trade in of my old handset would have made the 9 pro a decent deal, but in the end oneplus also did some slimy stuff regarding the cashback rebate, they gave me store credit instead of the agreed upon Cashback on my trade-in, but it's worthless because I already transacted the new phone so now the rebate ($180) is basically stolen by OnePlus because it was not given to me as Cashback, it's store credit trapped in their ecosystem of disapointment. Really leaves sour taste in my mouth. In summation, I won't recommend OnePlus phones to anybody anymore, and my next phone will not be a OnePlus phone.

I just don't get how this phone passed test trials?I really can't express all the reasons why I despise the OnePlus 9 Pro.The price is higher than other phones I've owned, so I thought it would be an upgrade. I'm disappointed at security and software updates at this price they should be more often not every other month. I'm starting to feel like the heyday with OnePlus is over. I think I hate this phone. I was so excited to try OnePlus but I just keep having issue after issue. The text messages take 10+ seconds to load. Then to go into a contacts Convo takes at least another 10. And sending even longer. This phone consistently disconnects from my Android auto so I keep having to reset it. Speaking of if my phone is lnt unlocked with the screen up when I plug it in and turn on my car it freezes and I'm unable to use it. This is when it isn't just randomly resetting when it feels like it, or trying to use the quick camera function without unlocking which this phone just will not doIt DOES have some pros. And I like the pull down menu for quick notes. The camera for close.up portraits is one of the best. However these few pros do not in any way outweigh the multitudes of issues I have encountered. Stay away is my vote.

Charging is fast but when you have to charge 3 times a day gets extremely annoying and is very disappointing for the price paid to have this huge issueBought a 12 v 120 watt inverter to connect in my car to charge it with the 65 watt charger in 30 min or less which again on heavy use you shouldnt have to charge more than twice a dayWould I recommend this phone? Not if you use it heavy for your job on the go, it will die quick and you will find yourself charging it 3 times like me you will get frustrated especially when you don't have the 65 watt charger on you nor no where to connect itIf your a light user I would recommend itIt's not the best flagship in my opinion, but it definitely is there specs wise keeping up with it's more expensive competitors.
I came to OnePlus because I have heard really good things about the brand and the phone was supposed to have really good specs but this is by far the worst phone I have ever had. There's an overwhelming amount of random software bugs and countless that I cannot think of. I've had issues where I have to press the power button multiple times to get it to turn on. Constantly drops cellular service (I've tried different providers and the issue still existed and I've also swapped the sim to a different phone but the issue did not occurr on the other phone) The camera would sometimes show nothing and I'd have to restart it. It would often not send messages and I'd have to restart the phone. Sometimes base apps for the phone simply wouldn't work and I'd have to go into ... Fingerprint sensor worked when it wanted to. The back glass broke while in the case and in my pocket, I have no idea how that happened so take that how you will. Overall I'm pretty upset about how good it was supposed to be and how under delivered it was and how many issues it has.
