#smartwoolLove I wore these socks on a 10 km hike today. It was 5 degrees C(42 degrees F) outside. My feet were the perfect temperature. Not too hot or cold. The socks did not move inside my boots. My feet were as comfy as could be. I prefer to wear midcalf height socks hiking but many of the customers that come into our Smartwool store in Whistler Canada want ankle height socks. This is the perfect hiking sock for them.

Love the padding / cushioning in the right places, such as the heel (where I’ve gotten a blister). Size medium pair is perfect for a size 7.5-8 foot size. The sock is thicker then I thought. Perfect for a cool fall and winter hikes. I’d go for a thinner pair for warm days. The fabric is wool therefore it will keep you cool anyhow. It is a matter of preference. Socks are comfortable and feels like my feet are being hugged. I look forward to buying more products from Smartwool!

These socks are supportive and thin without feeling fragile. They also have just a hint of extra thickness under the pressure points which is nice because cycling shoes don't typically have much padding. It's too early to gauge durability, but I expect it to be good like the Smartwool boot socks I've had for years. I'm happy with these overall. However, the sizing will be a problem for others.I wear a men's 11.5 in true U.S. sizing. That is the top of the range for Smartwool's size L. I got the XLs (12-14.5) hoping they wouldn't be too loose. They instead fit my foot exactly. I get it that they're supposed to stretch more than boot socks, but I can't imagine these going over feet much larger than a 12. Loses one star for the fitment and another because they're too ... MoreThese socks are supportive and thin without feeling fragile. I use these socks for my workouts and running. I like everything about these. The zero cushion is the most comfortable for me, especially where I live in Bangkok Thailand. I love the cut as they sit below the ankle and the top of them sit at the top of my gym and running shoes, so they're very minimal. They take longer to smell than normal cotton socks, so I can rewear them before washing. And they last ages - I just bought several of them to replace some that are around 5 years old. I'll keep coming back. #sweepstakes
My teenage grandsons loved their new 2022 Christmas socks. I buy these as gifts all the time. Everyone loves them. In 2022 I bought Smartwool socks for my 3 grandsons, my granddaughter and my daughter- in-law. Everyone loved their gifts. It was hard deciding which to buy because there is such a huge selection to choose from. I own several pair myself. They wash and wear really well. My son got socks for his birthday last year
I love Smartwool socks. I use these light cushion ankle socks paired with a solid trail running shoe for hiking and backpacking all summer long. I can hike in these for ~20 miles a day and my feet stay happy and healthy. They wick well, dry overnight, and can be used multiple consecutive days. I'm pretty hard on my footwear and I've never had a pair of these fail. I backpack about 250 miles each summer and these socks usually last me about three years.
Really dislike these socks. Been a smart wool customer for years and love the drawer full I have, but these socks are nothing like the old smartwools socks. They bunch up and so t stay in place. They were hot and made my feet sweat and had sort of "gross" feel to them. I don't know why they seem so different from socks I've got e in the past. And when I tried to inquire with customer service they were completely unhelpful and made it seem like I didn't know what I was talking about. I have tried to return them however still no would about refunding my money. No word or notice of any kind from smart wool.
I’m ruined. All my other socks are now sub-par. From the moment I slipped these on my feet, my life was changed. Soft like butter.. no.. clouds; wrapping, cushioning (in all the right places)- on my feet. They don’t slide, they don’t bunch, they don’t give me blisters, and even after warm Florida days hiking in the sun, they don’t smell! I’m on my feet a lot as a nurse, and while running or in moments of rest, at rest, they give comforting hugs.In all seriousness, I have never loved a pair of socks more than these! They’re good for big feet, small feet, sweaty feet, painful or plantar fasciitis feet, and can even make a vegan break their vows and succumb to the magic that is Smartwool. Throw all your other socks away; trust me, you need these.
I just got back from a wonderful four day hiking vacation in the Rocky Mountains and I wish I had more than one of this exact sock with me (although - I did wear it three days in a row and it they never smelt!). These are super comfortable and hold up excellently on long day hikes (we averaged 16 km a day for our hikes - not including exploring the mountain town afterwards!). They are soft, durable and even made my smelly feet ... not smelly - a true win! A big bonus is the amazing pattern! I highly recommend these for any of your hiking (or everyday) adventures #SmartwoolLove
These are my 10th pair of socks. Can't say enough about them. Where to start? The cushioning is terrific, they last long, they wick moisture, super comfortable, warm in the winter, just enough sock for long and short hikes. And I was pleasantly surprised that the packaging was all Earth friendly. (Except for the mailing package-there's gotta be a plastic free option for that, right?!?) I ask for Smartwool socks for Christmas. Enough said I think. So #sweepstakes or not, I highly recommend.
