I would give this 5 stars, but my mixer arrived with some blemishes in the paint. The mixer itself is great, it came with all the attachments (which I’m aware some don’t) and it’s a really sturdy, attractive appliance. It looks lovely on my worktop! It is a little bit loud but I think that is to be expected of a mixer really.Despite the fact that I knocked a star off for the fault in the paint, AO were really helpful and offered me a discount off the mixer I had delivered, or to have a replacement and they let me think about it overnight. Very happy overall :)

The most disappointing points of this machine are:1. The paddle attachment does not scrape completely what is at thebottom and the sides of the bowl. I have to regularly stop the machineand scrape down with a spatula to ensure the batter/frosting iscombined well. What a complete waste of my time! After taking a whileto compare between my other-brand bowl and the Smeg bowl, I found theother-brand bowl's design was a bit narrower, which enabled the paddle toreach the inside walls of the bowl better, and scrape through theentire mixture. 2. A reasonable amount of volume is required to fill the bowl so thatthe paddle/whisk can reach the contents. Even 5 egg yolks in the bowldid not suffice - and in the end I had to resort to using my own handto whisk the egg yolks. I ... MoreThe most disappointing points of this machine are:1. Iget that I can't expect the bowl to whisk say 1 egg white, but aftertesting - I needed a minimum of 4 egg whites to get something going. This point applies to all the 3 attachments - dough hook, whisk, andpaddle. 3. Dough hook attachment can only mix together the bread dough if youstart off by stirring it manually. I cannot simply turn on the machineand have it mix, and subsequently knead my bread dough. I had to use aspatula to mix my dough ingredients for a couple of minutes beforestarting the machine.

I had been wanting a stand mixer after months of suffering sore arms and shoulders from mixing the old fashioned way and finally found an opportunity to pick up the Smeg. It was important for me to get something super stylish as this is an appliance which would sit out on my kitchen bench for everyone to see. It was also equally important to find something functional - which for me is defined as durable, powerful and could be used in multiple ways. The Smeg ticked all these boxes with its die-cast aluminium body, 800W motor and an array of attachments which practical and functional, not just cool to have but sit in a drawer collecting dust. The product itself works beautifully, although slightly limited by the constraints of any stand mixer (eg doesn’t always reach ... MoreI had been wanting a stand mixer after months of suffering sore arms and shoulders from mixing the old fashioned way and finally found an opportunity to pick up the Smeg. I’m yet to purchase their patented flex edge beater which would likely eliminate some of these issues for me but otherwise am extremely happy with the purchase. I’ve been able to bake lots of delicious goods in big batches with ease and am really happy with my decision to buy into the Smeg family, and can’t wait to buy some other matching small appliances.

We are extremely disappointed with our Smeg Mixer. Less than 3 months of purchase it is not working properly. It is making an awful grinding noise every time we try and use it.We would like a replacement and are ready to return it. Bunny Appliance have been awful in sorting out the problem and have been no help at all in resolving issues that we have had with appliances bought from them.
I brought this a couple of years ago. The beater and whisk work well but the head jumps up and down when using the dough hook. This causes the mixer to jump along the bench top. I have to place it against something solid so it doesn't jump itself off the bench.
I am very happy with my SMEG mixer. It has made bread making so much easier. What I love about it most however is that whilst it is mixing I can get on whit other things. It has reduced time to whip up those delicious treats
Smeg stand mixer very easy to use, easy clean powerful and not much fuss, does all the jobs required from dough to simple cake mixes. Each of the three included whisks beater etc does the job wonderfully plus the Essential appliances I purchased through trusted and excellent
Love this mixer. It not only looks smart as a feature in the kitchen but its powerful motor does a fabulous job mixing or whipping just about anything. The range of attachments are useful but not overwhelming. Very straightforward to use. I have been baking and cooking up a storm since buying this! Highly recommend.
