Amazing little blender

I live in a small house so I was looking for a blender that wasn’t cheaply made and was not just another bulky small appliance on my counter. I came across this personal blender by Smeg and knew I had to try it. I not only love the retro look - it blends so well - it has 2 speeds and is so user friendly, but the main thing I LOVE is the containers - which it comes with 2 and I can carry it with me the lid doesn’t leak and the spout to drink out of is the perfect size. I can’t say enough about my new Smeg Blender!!!

The Smeg Personal Blender is charming to look at but leaves a lot to be desired.1- The bottles are large and clumsy. A lot of condensation forms on the outside before all the smoothie ingredients are even added, making it slippery/ difficult to handle and requires frequent drying off. Not recommended for anyone with physical limitations.2- The blade cap is an odd shape (that enables it to sit in the base), which makes twisting it on and off challenging and uncomfortable.3- The caps are bulky and cumbersome. Making sure they are adequately locked before taking them anywhere is unnecessarily stressful.4- The bottle is so big that my smoothie straws fall inside, but drinking it without a straw feels like I'm sucking on a baby bottle.5- If you blend anything other ...Ā MoreThe Smeg Personal Blender is charming to look at but leaves a lot to be desired.1- The bottles are large and clumsy. This one is very expensive for what it offers.

First of all, I have to say that I like the retro design of the product and the workmanship makes a good impression. The blender processes both fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables well. High satisfaction is then with the washing of the product, which takes only tens of seconds. (Automatically translated by DeepL)

Five stars for shakes on the go - PERFECT
10 February 2024

I love it SO much. I read all the bad reviews and I disagree. It works PERFECTLY for me. I just want a little cute blender to make healthy smoothies on the go. I put frozen fruit, a few ice cubes, my healthy powders, and liquid. Works effortlessly. I have a bigger, more heavy-duty full-size kitchen aid blender when I want to make smoothies for the whole family or margaritas for a group, but it's too bulky to leave out on the counter everyday. This looks beautiful on the counter and works exactly as I needed. Five stars.

This is a good option for traveling and you don't want to take your bigger blender. The power on this is not super strong where it can easily blend frozen fruits & ice. And, due to the bottle's shape, things get stuck in the wider part up at the top and don't make it all the way down to the blade, so you have to continuously take it on and off to blend. I like that the clean up is really easy and you can use the container as a cup.Unfortunately, ours is intermittently working - it will sometimes turn on, but sometimes it does not, so I will be returning to the store for a refund. I just received this on July 28, and it's only August 16, so it did not last long. It's a great concept, but not great in execution. Great product to have in the kitchen for someone who loves to make daily smoothies, the design is so pretty I got the pink one but all the other colors seem just as pretty as well. It blends quite nicely, even frozen ingredients (the little white parts of oranges is the only thing I’ve found that won’t blend so great. Overall it’s a good product, I love it!

Works But More Style Than Substance
18 February 2024

I purchased this blender along with several other SMEG kitchen appliances and while the device has performed its duties mostly admirably there are a few niggling issues. I had been previously using a Nutribullet which has twice the capacity and at least that much more power to break up ice cubes. Even fruit requires longer to be blended properly and, because of the narrow mouth on the bottle (again unlike the Nutribullet), it is a bit more challenging to clean with a kitchen soap wand. Nonetheless, it gets the job done eventually but it does so with more effort and a higher price that the Nutribullet. On the plus side, it does look much nicer though.

cute but weak and cheap

This blender is perfect if you want to blend something easy (read: liquid). It has a hard time breaking down frozen fruits unless you have a lot of liquid in the bottle to help break it down. I have to shake the bottle often to help mix things around as things can get trapped at the top (er, bottom) of the bottle while blending. Blender isn’t terribly loud, and the to-go bottle with the lid is very cute (the con is that it kind of looks like a baby bottle, but whatever). Super easy to clean with minimal staining. Unfortunately the blender is made cheaply - it’s pretty much all plastic except the motor and blades. The actual blender base is plastic, and the plastic piece pretending to be metal (the chrome parts) can actually get scratched and dinged pretty easily. I handle this blender with kid gloves to keep it from looking janky. I often find myself reaching back for the Vitamix (the best blender, but cumbersome for quick use) for my smoothies despite this being purchased to be a substitute. This now sits in my kitchen cabinet as kitchen jewelry. I’ve made countless smoothies with this, and the results are pretty inconsistent. I’ll give this blender another shot, but on a lazy day. Motor easily gets hot, and sometimes the motor will stop if you blend for too long.
