Broke after less than a year. ( center element not heating )Got replacement and the second one did the same after warranty period.My local small appliances repair shop told me it is impossible to repair this Smeg toaster.Smeg told me by email that they do nothing after the one year warranty period.It looks nice but doesn't do what it is suppose to...I would rate less than one star if I could !

Crumb tray is easily removed and makes cleaning easy as well.

My 2-slice toaster looks amazing on the bench top, even better when paired with the matching kettle. I was worried it was going to be too big, but it wasn't. I would say it's a medium size. Toasts really well, evenly on both sides. The toast doesn't fly out of the toaster when done. This one is easy to clean and doesn't leave streak marks. The best part about this toaster is that there are minimal crumbs on the bench top now, I don't know if the catchment of the crumbs is better - either way, it ticks all the boxes for our family of 4.
