Honestly, I don't know how well this product really works. I brought home my toy/miniature poodle mix on June 8 at age 8 weeks and 1 day, and since he was the first littermate separated, I expected it to be bad. The first 4 to 5 nights I had him home, he cried and whined for the first 20-30 minutes he was put in the crate. Then I would take him outside after 2 hours for potty and put him straight back in and the crying/whining would start again. It was a very sleepless week until I realized that he could hold it for 4 hours at a time and we only have to get up once a night.After the first week, he adjusted to his crate and has never had an accident in there. He doesn't cry at all and is very reluctant to come out at 4 in the morning when it's potty time. I would say that if you have the extra money, get this product because it definitely doesn't hurt to have it. I really do think it's more about being present for your pup's adjustment period and not sticking him in the crate too often than it is about the efficacy of this product. I will say though that I don't use the snuggle puppy in his playpen, and he does still cry a lot in there, so maybe it is effective!

I was skeptical at first as to if this would really help or not, as we had tried a cheaper version in the past on another puppy that didn’t work, but I decided it was worth giving it a go on the chance it does work. I’m glad I decided to buy it as it works perfectly for our new puppy! She is able to go to bed in her crate at night with her beating heart puppy laying next to her and she will stay sleeping until it’s time for her to get up to go to the toilet. This has to be my favourite purchase so far out of all the new puppy things I’ve bought, it really works! Thanks!

Being a normally organized person, I researched and purchased the 'New Puppy Starter Kit' before my German Shepherd Dog puppy before conception and birth. I love the Kit and am looking forward to using it when the time comes. I eventually worked out that to fill the Puppy Teething Aid with water, you need to put the water into the 2 (hard for me to see) holes near the bottom of the heart (one on each side). Love the Snuggle Blanket, too. Great product. Thank you.
