SodaStream 0.5 Liter My Only Bottle Black

I bought a bottle then it fell apart , little bottom plastic fell off so bottle didn’t stand up any longer, so soda stream generously sent me a replacement bottle. I’m not young, but, I’m not 100, nor am I weak. But, unscrewing the both caps to wash or fill the bottles is super difficult. Bottles have been washed, not expired, used properly etc and I’m finding a strange chemical plastic taste in the water if the bottle is not refrigerated before fully consumed. My large bottle doesn’t have the problem, nor does my fancy glass carafes… so it’s not my water supply or me!Soda stream offered me 15$ towards a new bottle. I’ve got 6 small bottles and a machine I’ll be flogging on marketplace. Or dropping off at Sally Ann

This little bottle is as strong as the big one, but of course much more portable and gets cold much quicker. It's handy for cold beverages at home, when we might otherwise use a canned beverage. It uses the same cap as the larger bottle, so we still have the same issue with keeping mold out of the threads. Other than that, it's great.

I was washing my man's My Only Bottle when I noticed a strong smell of mold. While examining the lid. I discovered a design flaw. As in one can not get under the O-ring to properly clean under it. And in this case, it had developed mold. Bleaching it can only clean so much.It would be much easier to clean if the O-ring was designed to come off. Like redesigning the part that holds the strap to screw off the inner center piece.
