I like the option for both glass and plastic. Some overflow of water on bubbling similar to previous soda stream model. The cylinder has this new technology on the top and I am a bit worried about where I will find a refill as usual vendors seem to just have usual refill gas. I also feel like they made it incompatible so I have to also trash my previous model water bottles too. Can’t see that much advantage over other models tbh

This is a big step up from previous models. Love that it can be used with glass bottles and bought six more of them from Soda Stream so that I never need to add another plastic bottle to land fill. I also noticed that the one plastic bottle it comes with doesn’t have a use by date, as used to be the case with Soda Stream bottles, so I’ll keep it for picnics. The design of this unit is beautiful and practical. It’s easy to just put the bottle into the bottom chamber and close it up rather than screwing it in, but you will need good hand strength to close it. The unit comes with a gas bottle but I recommend keeping at least one extra back up because the pink bottles can be harder to find, especially during peak Soda times like Christmas and New Year.

Having grown up having one of the old original white Soda Stream Machines and enjoying the flavours back then, I thought it would be nice to get one for my children, they have improved greatly since I was a small person and still offer great flavour and enjoyment for children of all ages. Would highly recommend the Duo as it has both the glass and plastic bottle option, changing the gas is simple and the chance of making a mess is small given the way the machine holds the bottle to make the fizz. All in all a very capable and excellent purchase that the whole family enjoy.
