If I could give this less than 1 star, I would. I am EXTREMELY unsatisfied with your product; it is very cheaply made, does not work as advertised, and is not user friendly. I've been wanting a soda stream for years now and I decided to get one when I saw a sale on your website for the fizzi hydration pack. Upon unboxing, the instructions were basically worthless and we had to google how to set it up and how to *attempt* to carbonate beverages. And once we actually figured out how to use it, we made the very unpleasant discovery that your machines are only able to strongly carbonate plain water. Any attempt at carbonating other beverages like juice, soda, etc was met with failure as it only produces the WEAKEST amount of fizz no matter how much we pressed the button. I like my carbonated drinks to have a strong amount of carbonation, and all this product is able to do is create the tiny amount of fizz that I would associate with someone leaving an open bottle of carbonated drink out with the cap off overnight. Why even call this product "soda" stream if it's not even capable of carbonating anything besides water? Not only is this product horrible for the above reasons, I can only assume that this product was designed by someone who's never actually attempted to clean it. When the top button is pressed, it creates so much fizzing pressure that it goes up from the mouth of the bottle and into the device itself, leaving a dripping, sticky sugary mess (for anything being carbonated besides water). We then had to unscrew the co2 canister and rinse the entire device out in the sink between each attempt to use to get the splashback of the various juices and drinks we attempted to carbonate cleaned out. It feels and looks very cheap, especially compared to all of the nice, sleek looking designs of the older models we saw while looking at online user guide videos. The instructions are a complete joke, it's literally just a tiny one sided leaflet with vague drawings and not a single word written anywhere, separated into 3 steps. No where is it mentioned anywhere in the box or pathetic excuse for instructions that beverages are supposed to be cold in order to retain carbonation or else it doesn't work, which is a pretty important step that we had to find while looking for help online. Also how we found out that it works best for plain water, which is not what we wanted to use it for. And as the cherry on top of this s**t cake, the carbonation has an absolutely revolting bitter taste to it. We carbonated some totally plain, flat water out of the fridge to see if our machine even worked or if it was defective, and while yes, we did manage to get a rather moderate (still not strong) carbonation level, it tasted disgustingly bitter. So not only is this thing incapable of producing adequate carbonation to anything but plain water, but carbonated water gains a foul flavor from whatever is in the co2 canisters that we're supposed to try and cover up with bubly flavor drops.Absolutely unacceptable. I am sorry that I wasted my time with this product, and I will be sure to share this terrible experience with family and friends so they don't go through the same disappointment and annoyance that we had to. Consider changing the product's name to water stream, since that's all it's good for.

Have been considering buying a sodastream for some time now so after doing some research I finally chose the spirit model with bottles, gas and syrup package as it worked out much cheaper buying from sodastream direct. The parcel arrived quickly in recyclable packaging. It is very easy to use, once we realised that you have to press the button down fully to release the gas, at first we were disappointed as the water wasn't very carbonated, but then we discovered that we weren't pressing the button down far enough. The kids love it and like to make the drinks themselves. I have since purchased a 6 pack of Pepsi max concentrate and it tastes just like the store bought drink. We managed to get 9 bottles of Pepsi out of one bottle of concentrate so that has reduced the amount of plastic we would of normally used which feels really good and it's nice to have it readily available. I've had good communication from sodastream since my purchase with lots of handy tips and advice.I'm pleased I finally purchased a sodastream and would happily recommend.

I've been using SodaStream for a several years and love it. Usually I buy the manually operated machines, but the plastic components that release the gas from the canister are prone to wear and tear and break down after 2 years of regular use (no matter how gentle you are), rendering the machine useless and destined for landfill. I decided to try an electric SodaStream, hoping that there might be less wear and tear and that it might last longer than a couple of years. This model is of the older generation, but the newer generation uses new canisters which I would have to purchase all over again instead of just trading in my existing canisters. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE My One Touch machine. I have wanted this machine from the very beginning, I've had different styles over the years. I have several Autoimmune diseases. The worst of these cause numbness all over and deterioration of nerves & muscles and weakness; especially in my hands. So carbonating by touching a button no longer causes problems as some of the other styles use to be so painful. My only concern these days are when I follow instructions from the website here as well as when I am talking to customer service. I spent well over $300; with the One Touch kit, multiple combinations of flavors and bottles. I love my machine though. Making seltzer with the Buble flavors (cherry, blackberry, and pineapple.) I spent well over $300; with the One Touch kit, multiple combinations of flavors and bottles. I love my machine though. Making seltzer with the Buble flavors (cherry, blackberry, and pineapple.) I even make seltzer with my sour cherries concentrate that helps with inflammation. As well as making fresh fruit fizzy on hot days. I like making SodaStream sodas with their diet soda syrups as well as diet syrups I purchase on Amazon & other retailers. These past weeks have been strange, in that, I followed the directions on the "dishwasher safe bottles.". Making sure I ONLY put the bottles in the dishwasher, where the bottles actually say "dishwasher safe.". So, one such bottle is the "Stars & Stripes" one which got warped in my dishwasher even with following SodaStreams instructions. I emailed Customer service and then explained what happened to my bottle, warping it so bad that my cap wouldn't keep carbonation inside anymore. Customer service responded quickly and working towards replacing my bottle for free; and I received it today. I was chastised by customer service for putting the bottle in the dishwasher and they told me that the bottles with printed artwork, were NOT dishwasher safe and "that it was my fault for warping the bottle. But they would still replace it free even though it wasn't their responsibility". I responded to that information with a PICTURE OF THE WARPED BOTTLE THAT CLEARLY WAS PRINTED WITH; DISHWASHER SAFE. She responded with nothing, but finally said that none of the printed bottles were dishwasher safe and in future I should only dishwash bottles that are printed with "dishwasher safe" both on the bottles as well as on the website. The new bottle came today, on the packaging it is printed with, "DISHWASHER SAFE" on BOTH packaging and ON THE BOTTLE too. Looking online and all the bottles that she said were "NOT DISHWASHER SAFE" IS in fact stated that they are dishwasher safe. Wish I could add the pictures on this review, that show all of this, but this site won't allow this so I might also use they're Facebook page to attach this review with pictures. I still love my machine and everything that comes with it. Just wish the information they give me was more clear to understanding. Instead of confusing.
I absolutely love my Fizzi SodaStream! I donât drink a lot of canned or bottled soda, but I really enjoy sparkling water and flavored waters. The Fizzi makes it so economical, not to mention less wasteful since Iâm not throwing away cans or plastic all the time. I drink about 2 liters a day of sparkling water, and love mixing in different flavor enhancers or squeezing fresh citrus and mint in it. I do recommend looking up all the extra comments and You Tube videos from actual SodaStream owners BEFORE using it! The provided instructions are a bit vague, and you really need to know the tips and tricks to get the most bubbles from your Fizzi. Short list: add flavoring to water after you carbonate it, but right before you drink it. If you transfer your water to a glass or another container, add flavor after you transfer it. Use REALLY cold water. Wait a few seconds between each press of the carbonation button to let the CO2 equalize between the water and the head space in the bottle. Wait again a few seconds after the last press, cap the bottle quickly, then put it in the refrigerator for an hour before using. Give it a good shake just before pouring (really!). Use 1/2 liter bottles if you donât drink it all at once. All this guarantees you lots and lots of tiny bubbles to enjoy from every bottle. Did I say how much I love my Fizzi? Itâs awesome!
A totally disappointing let-down. A product I was looking for to satisfy my love of carbonated water. First, to open the unit to install the cylinder the arrow showed to push up on the unit. No way. Only as I was struggling to push up, I noticed that by twisting the outer shell the unit opened. Why not show a twisting icon? Second, trying to screw in the bottle, which i calculated should've taken 3-4 twists, after 12-15 try's, I left it in the loose position. This prevented the straw attachment from being submerged into the unit. Pressing for the CO2 to carbonate the water, the unit only shot the gas from outside into the contents, thereby not carbonating the water as should be required. By this time, I knew I had no choice but to return the product. What a pity ... MoreA totally disappointing let-down. A product I was looking for to satisfy my love of carbonated water. But then again, maybe they did, and just didn't care. More negative comments about your Pepsi bottles.
I decided to get a Sodastream because I had been using my boyfriends for so long & loved it so much, I decided to get one for my house.I purchased my SodaStream from Bed Bath & Beyond and it worked well but I returned it because there was a broken off piece of plastic in the box when I first opened it, and I didnât want to risk a potential issue arising later on bc of it. I took it back and exchanged it for a new one which was structurally sound out of the box but this time the quality off the machine was comparatively much worse.I am not a newbie at this.. like I said Iâve been using my BFâs same model for nearly 2 years without any problems. But the second one functions very poorly overall. It doesnât release co2 consistently regardless of the chosen setting and it somehow drained two co2 cartridges in 1.5 weeks despite being minimally used! And even then the drinks were only semi to mildly bubbly and the drinks went flat quickly. The refill canisters are not cheep and I feel like the newer SodaStream basically stole my money!Im giving it one last try and getting anther new one which I am purchasing online now. I will update my review when it comes. I so so badly want a functioning SodaStream! And hope to be fully refunded for my last one. So much effort has gone in to this dang appliance, i cant give up now!
Letâs start with what I didnât like..The order process was easy enough and I chose to take the years Gas plan with the free terra. All seemed well and the money was taken from my account, this is where it falls down, no communication from soda stream and checking my order told me the order was processing for the next two weeks. I chased it with customer service after the first week to be told it was picked at their warehouse and waiting on the courier. 2 further emails were sent and ignored by soda stream before I received one from DPD saying it was arriving that day (a full 2 weeks later) with the soda stream air still saying processing. The machine itself seems okay. I am thinking of getting the smaller bottles and just making up 500mls at a time đ¤ˇââď¸ I really donât like flat Pepsi max and end up wasting it by putting it down the sink.
I've had some issues with this unit which is why I am going to be returning it. My first issue is with the carbination. If you select the most agressive carbination (3 drops) it seems even if you are below the high level mark it could still overspill. It has happened multiple times. You can press the button again to cancel it but what it the point of this? I don't 100% know if there are any sensors to detect if the pressure is there or it just is programmed to say put 5 sprays of CO2 into the bottle. My assumtion is the it has a set amount of sparys. This model does waste CO2 because you can hear that the bottle has excess pressure and it continues to spray addtional CO2. My other issue is that the water just doesn't seem to have enough bubbles. If you leave it for 15-20 minutes it has lost the fizz. I found out that the working PSI in this model is 116 where as some other models and the older ones have 145. I don't know what impact this has but it does appear to be weaker.
I have nothing but great things to say about this unit! I buy a TON of Seltzer water and drink on average anywhere from 3-5 cans a day. I dont really drink soda other than on special occasions. Not only was it a pain to haul 12 packs in each week but i always felt horrible about the environmental impacts that has. I bought a water machine 5 years ago to reduce my bottle usage; it was time to do something about those cans.Enter my Sodastream One Touch. First off make sure ur bottle is at the fill line and is clipped in properly. These people saying it spills out is ridiculous. It seals against the unit so if you put it in correctly and have it at the fill line it wont do that. Install the canister finger tight and it does not leak. I use the highest carbonation setting because i like the bubbly feel. I bought "bubly" brand unsweetened flavoring because a retailer I shop at had them marked down to $2.99 a pack so I stocked up (also bought 2 extra re-usable bottles). So far i love this machine. I have it setting on top of my water machine (I live in a big city with terrible tap water so I only use highly filtered water). I just grab an empty bottle, fill it with chilled water from my machine, load it in my Sodastream, hit the high carbonation button, then when its done i add 3/4 tsp of my preferred flavor (i love grapefruit and raspberry most), turn the bottle upside down and back up 2-3 times, and enjoy. No cans, bottles, or heavy lifting. Now all I have to do is get water for my machine when it runs out which I do anyway and have re-usable jugs for.Super happy. Gonna save me time, money, effort, and not impact the environment!! Not a cheap investment but for someone like me, it will by far be my most used appliance.
