I received this as sample in my Sephora order and was considering purchasing the full size. The fruit AHAs and Vitamin C sound like wonderful ingredients and I am happy to see more actives in body care. I am soooo glad that I got to try this before deciding to buy. It has this really distinct scent that’s supposed to be a combination of “Amber Plum” and “Vanilla Woods”. Bom Dia indeed - these AHAs bring results

The Bom Dia cream exfoliates and moisturizes my skin very nicely. What is more, it truly smooths and softens the problem areas. I have been suffering from little bumps and ingrown hairs in my thighs - especially lower inner thigh and the back of the thigh. Applying the Bom Dia cream resolves this issue for a while - perhaps for a week - and usually with only one use. My skin feels softer and smoother where it previously felt uneven or bumpy. My (admittedly mild) keratosis pilaris also almost disappears after only one weekly use. In addition, the harsher, thicker skin of my knees and elbows shows improvement after a few regular applications.The cream consistency is not too thick and absorbs well with moderate rubbing. The rather sweet and full-bodied scent may not be for everyone, but I quite like it - to the point that I have repurchased the product. I would hardly describe the scent as pungent but, in it's soft full-bodiedness, the scent profile seems most certainly noticeable and lingers on for a long time. It will cling to your clothes/bath robe until the next wash, which I personally don't find problematic despite being mildly asthmatic and moderately sensitized to strong scents. However, I would avoid wearing this cream around severely asthmatic/scent-sensitized people or to work (at least directly after applying to entire body and especially if working indoors; however, moisturizing the night before and wearing different clothes to work the next day than directly after moisturizing would likely reduce the scent to a work-appropriate level).

Decadent Scent

This has to be the best sent that SDJ has come out with! I absolutely love vanilla and I think the plum and the scent just really gives a sensuality that makes me want to reach for the scream again and again. This layer so well with many of the fragrances I have in my collection. I am complemented left and right when I use this cream. As for the cream it’s self it’s super fast absorbing And still has a beautiful thick consistency so it’s not like you’re rubbing nothing on your skin. The brightening that this does when you use consistently is great. If you’ve been suffering from stubborn dark spots or just overall want to smooth and give your skin much healthier appearance this is a really good cream to reach for.

Give it a full week to see real results!!

I have self-diagnosed KP on the back of my upper arms and the front of my thighs. I’ve tried the FAB Bump Eraser scrub, multiple AHA lotions, and a few peels. The Bump Eraser scrub paired w a moisturizing or balanced lotion didn’t yield any results, and the same scrub w an AHA lotion burned terribly and only seemed to make things worse. I saw hopeful results w the DDG peel, but those results only lasted about a day - then the bumps came right back.I decided to try this lotion for a full week after reading a few reviews - and omg I am so glad I did!! You can see in my before and after photos, on the seventh day of use my skin is now much clearer :) I honestly still can’t believe it.The results might not be the same for you, but I’m hoping this review might help someone else struggling like I was. I’ve already purchased another full-sized tub and the travel-sized one as well!!

HOLY SMELL

It smells great, but will last until you wash it off and is extremely strong. This is not a bad thing if you want to exclusively smell like this, but i would occasionally like to wear other fragrances without it being overpowered by this scent. It’ll also get on your clothes and your laundry will smell like it. I have a cardigan I wore after putting this on and had to wash the cardigan days later because it was stinking up my whole closet. I know their scents are kind of part of their brand, but I wasn’t expecting it to take over my life the way it did.My skin feels great though! Super moisturized and smooth. I feel like this would be an amazing vacation moisturizer.

I am addicted!

I tried a free sample of the Bom Dia Bright cream from Sol de Janeiro about a month ago, and absolutely loved the smell of it and how silky it made my skin feel. I am addicted to the smell of this cream. I use it after getting out of the shower. It absorbs into the skin nicely and makes my skin feel hydrated and silky smooth. The smell lasts ages, which is amazing. I think this is my new favourite cream. A bit on the pricey side, but it is definitely worth it. I will be ordering this product again and I think I will have to get the body scrub to go with it next time. I just wish there was a bundle including the Bom Dia Bright Cream and Body Scrub together. I would absolutely buy that.

I bought this cream and the spray after chasing down one of my colleagues to find out what the heck perfume she was wearing! She told me she just had used this cream today and I had to have it immediately. It's actually insane how amazing this product is. First of all,I have had terribly dry skin on my hands ever since I have had my daughter, and after using this cream (all over), my hands are no longer dry and cracking. That alone is a miracle since I used to have to put cream several times daily - and I have tried so many products. Night and day difference. I only need to apply this in the morning and I am moisturized and smell good through the entirety of my day. Also, when I tell you people have stopped me almost daily to ask what I am wearing now. Lovely scent, mediocre lotion

Okay let's all be real here. The reason you are buying this cream is for the scent, not for it's ability to actually work as amazing skincare with real benefits. With that being said, the scent is great and summery and it lasts all day. The lotion itself isn't greasy and absorbs well. If you're looking for those two things and don't mind throwing out extra coin for the scent, give it a try!! If you want an actual lotion that will be good for your skin, just stick to something basic and unscented (like cerave or along those lines). The BONUS is you can use a good, unscented lotion first and layer this on top and you will get the best of both worlds. It's good IT REALLY IS. I put some on my hands yesterday which are always dry for some reason and sometimes look crepe-y even though I'm only around 20. Woke up this morning with soft and supple hands that look super smooth and bouncy!! I also put some on my whole body yesterday after my shower and I've been feeling super smooth ever since. To be totally transparent, I did use it with the scrub and then shave after in the shower so I am not going to credit the whole-body-smoothness to JUST this. Oh bonus point the scent lasts so long I can still smell it lingering even though I haven't reapplied it yet today. For sure buying the big tub after this finishes. Went in blind to the scent.I will start with how amazingly well this cream performs… it smoothed out my KP so well that I can barely feel it anymore, and most importantly it evened out my skin tone and got rid of the redness. It smells just like the 7 Virtues perfume which I don’t enjoy either. Fortunately my husband likes this scent on me, he isn’t complaining. It’s so strong that it clashes with my perfume, for that reason I usually use it at night. But now my bed linens and bedroom smell like vanilla woods. I would have much preferred a lighter, citrus type fragrance to go with the vitamin C in this cream. This isn’t light or sweet, it’s nauseating tbh. I’m guessing that Brazilians prefer these kinds of very heavy scents, because this clearly isn’t my idea of tropical.I gave Bom Dia 4 stars overall because of how well it performs, wouldn’t feel right to take away more stars for the cloying scent because fragrance is so subjective. But please oh please make a fragrance-free version!
