I often find that products that are creamier in nature take longer to absorb but this is not the case with this body cream as it absorbs in seconds! I normally do not like writing reviews since products like this are a matter of preference. The intense scent is something I enjoy but others might find too strong. I wanted to at least warn potential customers that counterfeit products exist. There are many differences that are very subtle including color, consistency, and absorbency. the most obvious that I could identify is the seal. I have attached photos of the fake seal (square tab, no logo) and a genuine seal that has a pull tab with no sharp edges (product on the right). The best way to avoid fake products is to purchase from an authorized seller. Clumps of hair in body cream

I received a 240ml bum bum cream while I was in hospital as a recovery gift from a friend. When I opened the container from the factory packaging, there was dark hair mixed in with the body cream. The nursing staff had to dispose of it in alignment with biohazard protocols. I contacted Sol de Janeiro customer service and they could not have been more dismissive nor rude about the incident. Honestly.... this is not worth it. It's the least moisturizing "cream" I've ever tried. It feels like a liquid-y lotion and doesn't hydrate. My skin feels no softer and it's dry again a few moments later when the initial "wetness" wears off. Also, the scent can be extremely hit or miss. It smells really cardboard-y and musty on me, and it took a while for me to get used to it. It's definitely polarizing, because after I started to like it, my parents confronted me on how bad it smelled. I truly understood. No more SDJ for me (no spray, either—I got the full line. While I am usually fragrance averse, I'd rather this smell than something heavily floral or patchouli or musk. So points off for the strong fragrance, but it's not a dealbreaker for me like for some. The texture is fluffy for a cream. The container is cute. And it didn't cause any rash or irritation. So, it's alright on those fronts.What I dislike about this is that it doesn't sink in very well for me, but just kind of smears around on the surface of my skin.
