Basic safe scent? Yes BUT…

People hate on scents being “basic” like it’s a bad thing. If you’re a perfumer you need a couple everyday basics in your collection as I’m sure there’s days you don’t need to wear strong loud scents that choke everyone out. Basic is GOOD! I love this scent, it’s cozy, warm, and delicious. It’s my favorite from their collection though I love them all and it’s hard to choose. Better than expected

Initially it’s a very strong alcohol smell, that takes awhile to go. Not what I was expecting as it overwhelmed any sort of fragrance. You don’t get an immediate fragrance cloud from this. After 5 mins on my skin there is a cassis smell, with a woody base. Doesn’t smell like TF tobacco vanille, it isn’t as sweet. It does have a feeling of moist tobacco leaves though, maybe it’s the plum. This is a strange scent to be labelled a gourmand, I don’t get gourmand at all. Definitely the least sweet of the Brazilian Crush offerings. However this actually makes it the easiest to use as a base layer for most perfumes. Once it’s been on the skin for awhile it is a lovely vanilla, much less sweet than the other Cheriosa offerings.

Edible and creamy

This is a true edible gourmand. If you don’t like those scents that are literally the equivalent to a scent you could find in the kitchen (think walking into a bakery with this scent..) this probably isn’t gonna be for you. I think it’s the perfect summer & spring scent. It has a light scent. Just like the body cream. Layering it with the cream does make it last throughout the day which is saying something living in a humid state such as Florida. It has a unique scent- not a typical coconut & vanilla scent. To me - it’s a sweet, nutty, and scent that I can’t even describe- maybe dreamy, fun, & delicious. Brazil in a bottle maybe. The sprayer comes out in a light mist (nice spray bottle). Sol de Janiero gifted me the Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist. This smells sooo amazing! I’m a sucker for a vanilla scent and the vanilla notes in this mist pair so perfectly with the pistachio and almond notes. The heliotrope and jasmine notes add a subtle floral vibe that makes this a perfect blend of all my favorite fragrance notes with the salted caramel and sandalwood complimenting the vanilla perfectly. This really does smell absolutely delicious. I’ve gotten so many more compliments since I started wearing this mist and it makes me feel so happy and sexy whenever I put it on, this mist literally puts me in such a good mood. Lovely Hair Mist! Lasting Power Could Be Better...

The Good: If you love the Bum Bum Cream this will be another item from Sol de Janeiro that you'll want to grab from Sephora. It does not smell exactly the same (I find the cream to be a more potent and well rounded scent) but it does come very, very close. You can definitely pick up the hints of pistachio, caramel, vanilla and a bit of coconut in this fragrance. I love how convenient this is for on-the-go, a perfect body mist to throw in a gym or beach bag. I personally don't love bringing glass perfume minis in my purse and avoid it as much as I can but this was a great product to tag along on a beach/day trip for me during the Summer of 2022. Therefore, the lasting power of this is not comparable to a perfume, full disclosure. You certainly will have to reapply throughout the day (probably a few times) in order to achieve a lasting power.

I am always complemented on my scent when wearing this and I have recommended it to so so many people.
