As someone who has worked on SSL Consoles for a very long time this control surface is a game changer for me. It's so familiar and its made my personal workflow while mixing in the box like coming home again. I know its pricey for just a controller but when you include the plugins it comes with its a great deal. I wouldn't hesitate to get this if you're doing a lot of mixing. Especially if you're like me and know SSL Consoles.
After selecting track on uf8 I expected the uc1 to follow suit , and it doesn't unfortunately, such a bummer you need a mouse to control the controller which seems counterintuitive. I don't expect any support for the uc1 in the near future as it's been a known issue since it's debut . A lot of threads with request for this future dating back a year . I'd say ssl needs to work out the kinks between the uf8 and uc1 before I decide to dedicate myself to the ssl workflow that promotes ergonomics but falls short imo .
I purchases the SSI UF8 with this UC1. The UC1 adds all the functionality missing in other control surfaces. With the addition of the UF8, I now have the functionality and workflow of working on a studio large console. It comes with the SSI Chanel Strip 2 & Buss Compressor. SSI nocked it out of the part with the UF8/UC1 combo.
