Love this pan, but it is a bit of work. Needs lots of seasoning to begin with and then regular maintenance. However I feel its worth the effort as I'll never need to replace it and it just keeps getting better with time. No teflon coating to come off in our food. It is quite heavy.

I adore this pan. It has all the benefits of cast iron, but is so light! I had been using the same old scrappy "non-stick" pan for more than a year now, wishing I could lift a cast iron one... This is a wonderful solution!

Doesn't cook like cast iron - doesn't heat evenly (I am using a gas stove too). Never holds a natural non stick coating - flakes off in the food, and the pan rusts all the time. The handles curve downwards towards the flame so they are always too hot to touch - bad design. I had high expectations of this pan and no longer use it. My cheap chinese wok retains a great natural non stick and requires very little care. And my le creuset cast iron pans and even the cheaper cast iron from the camping shops are all great. This one gets rave reviews from all the bloggers who get paid to promote it.

Completely non tox cookware what's not to love? The only "downside" is that you would need to season it yourself quite regularly.
Cannot wait to convert all of our pans to Solidteknics.

Eggs slide off, risotto doesn't stick, best frypan I've ever owned. There is a bit of work in seasoning the pan but well worth it.
We love this frying pan. I bought it as a replacement for our old teflon coated frying pan which had lost its 'non-stick' performance. My husband loved the seasoning process and taking care of his new toy. I love how solid and durable it is, especially being made of one piece of wrought iron, and I know I'll never need to buy another frying pan. I also love how I can fry the food on the stove then put it in the oven to finish cooking. The little Australia in the handle is a lovely little touch to make this pan unique.
