This is quite some pan. This is my first foray in to this type of pan and in using it, I am not disappointed. The pan comes already seasoned but I went to the trouble, it does take time, to enhance the seasoning by following the recommendations; well worth doing. Follow the guidelines for cleaning the pan after its 'outing' on the stove top or oven. Cared for, your grand kids will inherit this pan but not too soon, perish the thought!

Excellent high quality pan. If you season it and clean it as per the instructions, it will serve you well for a long time. I was concerned that the pan may not fit in my oven due to the long handle, but no problems there. It's great that it's Aussie made.
I've been cooking with this pan for a few weeks now. I love how it doesn't have the chemical non stick coating which gradually ends up in your food! Seasoning the pan is required after each use to keep the surface non stick - a quick wipe with oil over heat.Cooks steak and pancakes great, the perfect size for everyday use.These pans are multi generational so I shouldn't need another one!
So happy with the pan. Has changed the way I cook. Only need a low heat now. Love that it’s toxic free and that the handle doesn’t get hot. Definitely want to get the larger one now. Won’t go back.
I absolutely love my Quenched Lightning Pan. It’s so easy to manage. Not too heavy. I know I’m not ingesting any Teflon coating or other harmful nasties. The food cooks evenly and it’s just fabulous.

I’ve been wanting one of these pans for ages and was excited when they went on sale. They are an Aussie company which was important to me. The pan itself is very well made and lighter than other cast iron pans I’ve used. I love that it came pre seasoned too. Seasoning is something I struggle with. My 4/5 star rating is probably in part due to user error, I’m still having problems with things sticking, and still not sure if I’m seasoning the pan right, resulting in what feels like a lot of extra work for using this type of pan. Cleaning is a bit difficult too, and make sure you dry it straight away or it’ll form rust just about instantly. Overall I think it’s a high quality pan, just a bit more effort required and a bit of practice to use efficiently
I have bought a few of these solidteknics pans and I love them all. They are excellent for everything from olmletts to searing a steak or even cooking a pizza. They aren't heavy like cast iron but cook just as well. This pan is well worth the price.
