I bought this dryer for my Mother-in-law and it will probably be sufficient for her needs. ProsThis dryer was $100 cheaper than the next cheapest brand. It came with a wall mounting kit included, rather than as an option, which was good. It also has an air exhaust elbow included. Its nice and compact and doesnt obstruct access to the top loading washer below it, nor does it present a hazard to your head. ConsIt only has one heat setting and we find that it takes a half hour longer to dry than the equivalent load in our Simpson dryer. The airflow is not as strong as our machines and this could be due to the fact that the air intake and outlet both have woven filter pads. The air intake is behind the door flange which may also restrict airflow slightly. The air outlet filter is in the back of the drum. Because the unit isnt too deep its fairly easy to reach, but may be a problem for some people. The outlet filter has the usual fine nylon gauze to catch the lint but behind that is the other mesh filter. These woven mesh filters are there to prevent fine lint dust blowing into the room and being sucked back into the machine but they must restrict the airflow significantly. I wouldnt recommend this unit for a family or anyone who needs to dry large loads quickly but its sufficient to spin an old ladys knickers around and the price is very appealing. It would also be good for a student or single person setting up house on a budget.

Had this dryer for over 3 months now, and it hasn't missed a beat. Works great for the two of us. Dries all our clothes, towels, sheets, etc. It's not very big, so that was even better for us. Because it's not very deep, I've got it in a cupboard, which we leave open when we use the dryer. ( with air gaps around it of course) . So if space is at a premium, then this dryer is perfect. I can't fault this dryer at all. Not only is it great value for money, it's also nice and compact. I would highly recommend it.

Fits more than I expected for such a small dryer. Have a 7kg washing machine and it just means I have to dry the load in 2 parts which is no big deal when the dryer is so efficient. Everything comes out dry as a bone and not deceptively warm where it feels dry until it cools down like some other dryers I've used. It's small quiet efficient and effective. Highly recommend if you need a dryer for 2-4 people. Simple easy to use and set up. Lint trap is a big fiddly until you get the hang of it as it's in the back of the barrel.

I have lived in Brisbane for 30 years and, until this year, have not needed a dryer. After the recent rains and 3 days to dry towels, I decided the time had come to get a dryer. So, did some research, didn't want to spend a lot of money, read some really good review on the Solt Vented Dryer, and opted to go for this one. The best part is I don't to have it wall mounted, sits perfectly on top of my front-loader. I still dry washing the conventional way, but as the days have grown colder, love that I can make sure the washing is completely dry. For a couple (or singles) this s ideal as we don't have loads of washing compared to that of a family. Really happy with this dryer and highly recommend!
For a low range clothes dryer it does the job. It lacks a reverse tumble to avoid clothing becoming tangled. This dryer has a filter system that consists of the usual filtration on the outlet with a fine fabric disc that didn't last two weeks. This dryer has an inlet filter also that is made of the same material as the air outlet. This product could provide spares of these filters and a reverse cycle would all be something to consider wgen purchasing this product. However it does dry clothing. I would consider spending a bit more next time I make a clothes dryer purchase and check these features and options. Not the best low priced clothes dryer I have owned by far.
I bought this because of the smaller depth as I had to hang over a top loading washing machine. We needed to get a piece of timber to hang it on the wall.I havent used it much but am happy with the drying jobs snd the time taken. It vents at the rear.I feel the foam at the back of the internal exhaust filter is very thin and may need replacing reasonably early. There is also an air vent at the front inside the door that needs regular cleaning. It clips in with plastic plugs that look to me as if they are not strong and could break early in the life of the machine. Fortunately the manual lists parts and where to get them. The machine only has one heating setting. There is also a air setting (for freshening up stored clothes) which I havent tried.Overall, this machine is ... I only plan to use it very occasionally when I cant line dry.
Before investing in this marvellous device, I did the weekly trudge to a laundromat with four baskets of wet clothes. Id done this for some time as (anecdotally at least) the fear of a massive power bill clouded my judgement. Imagine my surprise as I monitored my electric consumption to find that the 1400 watts that this dryer consumes makes only a minor difference to your bill (even less if you are on a time of use tariff, or have solar). Of course, keep the filter clean, dont run it for hours unnecessarily, run your washers spin a little longer, and dont overload it.The surprise bonus for me, was learning that the laundromat that I had frequented for years has just become a tier one covid site. The timing of my purchase could not have even better.Oh, and it dries ... MoreBefore investing in this marvellous device, I did the weekly trudge to a laundromat with four baskets of wet clothes. Smaller unit as to be expected. Has a hot and cold air setting, no middle ground but happy to have a no heat setting. No frills but does the job for a low cost unit. Only gripe (and a very minor one) is the filter is at the back and you have to fiddle a bit to get it out to clean it. Comes with the feet attached if it's going on the floor. Honestly really happy for the price. Fingers crossed it holds up.
Still good for literally the cheapest dryer I could get with a decent review. Dries still pretty quickly. Nothing fancy but didn't expect it for the price point. Do have to break up bigger/heavier loads. The cool air only feature is great for delicates. There is no warm setting - just hot or cold. Filter is a bit annoying to clean but otherwise fine. Works better than the last dryer I had.
Unpacked the dryer and looked forward to using. However excitement quickly turned to disappointment when we put in our first load to dry and were greeted with a grinding noise caused as the drum rubbed against the housing. However to The Good Guys credit, once further stock arrives in their store, we are swapping our faulty dryer for a new one - hopefully one that works as expected. Other than this, given the large no of good product reviews, price and performance would suggest the dryer is a good buy.
