Don’t be fooled by the 4 star rating!!! The way that the product is displayed on the box leaves the impression that you will be able to push the yellow button and sonic will “run” around the loop. That’s not the case. The yellow button serves no other function than for sonic to “jump” from the ground to the wall area. You connect sonic to the loop and manually make him run around the loop. Of course these people that got this product free for a review are much less disappointed since they didn’t spend $20 on a misleading toy.

Awesome toy!

My son is obsessed with Sonic the Hedgehog and absolutely loves this toy. There was very minimal work to put it together. Just stick the little rings on it and then Sonic and you're good to go! Sonic even stays on the platform as he goes around the loop. It even has the spring loaded platform so he can jump up. My son constantly made the sound effects like Sonic was running very fast. He had tons of fun with it.

Cheap

my son is really into sonic and I thought his would he a great gift for him. We got home and unboxed the items, the instructions was fairly easy until it came time for the little button spring guy that from my understanding was suppose to make sonic do the flip. Where it was suppose to go had to tie into the flip it was just a piece that did nothing. It took a matter of a second and sonic fell off the ring and the foot that connected him broke off. My son was majorly disappointed.

Cheaply made and other characters sold for extreme amounts of money.

This is a very cheaply made toy. It constantly comes apart. The pieces break easily. You cannot find the other characters without forking out a ton of money. I saw Knuckles going for almost $90 on another site. Absolutely do not buy this. At this point in time you cannot get any of the other characters for under $40.

Doesn’t do much.

My son chose this with his own money. I thought it looked quite good but hadn’t read reviews online. You have to spin figures in the loop yourself and other than that it is just a load of plastic that does nothing. Not really worth it however he is happy with it.

Great for sonic fans

To say my son is obsessed with sonic is an understatement, he talks about sonic nonstop so when I say this playset I definitely jumped to get it for him. I also love that this is functional , you can place sonic (or other figured that are sold separately) on the pegs, move around the gold rings and place sonic on the wheel of the hill and rotate him around. The figures might take a second to get in the pegs because they are a tight fit but that perfectly fine because it keeps them standing and from coming off til you pull them off. For me the only down side is that if you pick up the set to move it the hill tops tend to separate or the support grass section, which you can just push back together but it gets a big annoying when you have to move it every time your kid wants to play with it. Overall while I was worried my son would get bored playing with this he has actually really loves this and it looks nice so when he isn’t playing with it is displayed in his room so this is great for kids and collectors so I would definitely recommend.

Great playset for good price!

I bought this set almost a year ago and still love it. I am a fan of the games (classic ones and modern) and I was so excited to get this playset. It comes with a good action figure of sonic and has a couple of play features, which I honestly am not that interested in.I have seen a lot of negative reviews which made me write this. The sonic isn't already attached because it is a figure you can play with or pose on display. The big hoop thing (I don't know what it is called) has a peg where sonic or other 2.5 inch characters can stand on and spin round. There are also other pegs for accessories from the larger figures or dioramas if you have them.Overall I do think this is a fun set being harshly rated although I have found studiopolis to be more fun but that may ... MoreI bought this set almost a year ago and still love it. Not worth the money

Bought this for my 6 year olds birthday thinking the yellow button gets pushed and sonic spins round. Nope, the yellow button does nothing and you have to turn sonic yourself, which a child would have to do from behind so can't even see the toy.Absolutely pointless expensive toy, if I could return it I would.Whoever has designed this toy clearly has no experience with children or care about what they like, only money signs in their eyes.DO NOT BUY!!!!

Such a fun toy!

My son loves Sonic the Hedgehog and he loves this toy! It is super easy to assemble. The colors are vivid. My son likes that you can move all the limbs on the Sonic the Hedgehog action figure the most. It even comes with the rings like the video game! My child opened up this toy so quickly and began playing with it immediately. He loves how you can literally have sonic go in circles on the hill. It’s a perfect toy for any video game lover!

one sided play, but worth it to collectors

this playset has a lot to like, the spring is fun to mess with, if not able to catapult figures as they do in the game, and the loop-de-loop's play feature also allows you to pose characters midway through for display. there are plenty of spaces to peg in figures, or the included rings. the use of stickers for most details(like the checkered dirt) is disappointing, but at least the stickers are durable and well printed. Another flaw is the backside, which is just a void with screw holes, ends of pegs, and injection points visible.
