Had a few hiccups with the various components finding my network or switching networks... eventually did a factory re-set on all speakers and started from scratch - took more time than I had hoped for but wasn't all that much trouble in the end. WOW! This surround system sounds so much better than any speakers I have ever used... you really are surrounded and immersed in the sound. Took the extra step to tune the sound for the room and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Installed the SONOS app on my PC, linked my Music folder to the app and presto! I have incredible surround music which brings every song alive including my Blue Note jazz collection. Easy to setup, intuitive app UI. Good build quality. I like that all the settings can be done via app. Really like Trueplay option. Do not miss bluetooth. Only downside is connectivity with spotify. If i play through sonos app there is no problem. If i open spotify and trying to connect with beam, sometimes it connect straight away sometimes it takes some time (connecting...). Hopefully it is software issue and will be sorted soon. Otherwise, very satisfied.

My previous home theater system (Vizio 5.1) had a blown sub speaker, and the rattling was driving me nuts. But, I endured it for several months, because I was lazy, and also because I didn't want to waste money on another "bargain" of a home theater system. But, when my 70" 4K TV started to go out, I bought a new OLED TV, and decided I needed an equally immersive sound system. I did a lot of research, and decided on the Beam 2. I only bought the Beam 2 sound bar (No sub or rear speakers). It performed well, was very easy to setup, and produced crystal clear sound and clear dialog, even in scenes with loud sound effects, something none of my other previous systems did very well. It performed well, was very easy to setup, and produced crystal clear sound and clear dialog, even in scenes with loud sound effects, something none of my other previous systems did very well. I spent several years, trying in vain to adjust levels to allow me to hear the dialog in action movies. But, despite the quality of the Beam's sound performance, something was missing. The room where my home theater system is located is it family room, which is connected to the kitchen, making it very wide (approximately 40'), and approximately 18' deep. The Beam soundbar sounded great, but lacked sufficient bass on its own, and the surround sound performance was good, but not nearly as immersive as I was hoping for. At $450, I guess I was expecting too much from a lone sound bar. Don't get me wrong, the Beam 2 is high quality, but to fill a room with immersive sound, I'm a firm believer that you have to have a subwoofer and rear speakers, unless you have a very small room. So, I broke down and reluctantly coughed up the $750 for the Sonos subwoofer and another $400 for two One SL speakers to function as the rear surround speakers. Oh, and I also spent the $65 for the wall mounts for the One SL's. I'm so glad I did. Despite the large investment, I definitely made the right decision. With the sub and rear speakers, this system rocks my family room. The surround and Atmos performance is very immersive, and I'm thrilled with the whole setup.

I paired up the beam with a pair of one sl's and a subwoofer for my TV which did not have an eArc connection but a HDMI arc connection. The set up took some tinkering but I eventually got it to work. I was hoping that the surround sound would be Fuller for the TV, but the Ones as rear sounds provide a minimal sounds and more of a filler for the small room they are in. However, when I play music through the system the sound is full with excellent separation. I have not tuned with Trueplay yet. Hopefully, it will improve the surround. Overall, I am happy with the addition of the Beam.
Man, SONOS you changed my listening life!!! For 1 million years, I've been an exclusive BOSE faithful. However, lately, I've been dissatisfied with the BOSE quality in the recent BOSE soundbar and portable speaker I purchased. As a result, I began researching if there was anything better and found a lot of talk about SONOS. After extensive research I decided to test the water with a SONOS Move. Though the size and weight was bigger and heavier than my portable BOSE, I couldn't wait to see if the SONOS was actually better than the BOSE. Setup was extremely easy and as soon as I turned on my SONOS I was totally BLOWN AWAY!!!! This was exactly the sound I was looking for in a portable speaker. So just to be sure my experience wasn't a one off, I bought a SONOS soundbar ... MoreMan, SONOS you changed my listening life!!! For 1 million years, I've been an exclusive BOSE faithful. Setup was extremely easy and as soon as I turned on my SONOS I was totally BLOWN AWAY!!!! This was exactly the sound I was looking for in a portable speaker. So just to be sure my experience wasn't a one off, I bought a SONOS soundbar to possibly replace my BOSE soundbar. Once again, BOOYA, I was BLOWN away with my SONOS and immediately placed my BOSE for sale. So far 2 for 2 with my SONOS. So my final challenge was to see if the SONOS sub was all of that. After paring with the 2nd SONOS bar I purchased, I was almost in tears!!!!!... The sound quality was as if I was in an IMAX theater. I am in listening heaven with my SONOS and the ease / configs to choose which speakers to play is amazing. SONOS is the best system I've ever had and worth every penny I thought no one would be better than BOSE, boy was I wrong. SONOS has a new diehard fan and I don't see myself with any other system outside of SONOS in the near future. GREAT JOB SONOS !!!!
I own three of the One's, plus the Beam. I just needed some extra low range in the family room. My son has the original Sonos Subwoofer (bigger and more power), which I thought might be too much for this room. So I have been waiting for the new MINI Sub to come out. I pre-ordered it and it came a couple weeks ago. This is exactly what the room needed! Just a little extra bottom range...also, the Beam, I think, sounds better with the help from the MINI Sub! Now I have another dilemma? Now the single One I have in the living room sounds weak. So I think I need to order another MINI Sub and an extra One for this room! That is the beauty of the Sonos system. Just pick up another speaker and it easy setup to the speakers you already own! I am very happy with the purchase!!
I needed a new surround sound system for my aging plasma TV and wanted to simplify the setup. This kit (Beam+ 2xOne SL surrounds) was perfect for my application. I was worried about the sound quality from my older TV, but it sounds great via the ARC connection. I was originally worried I would need a sub, but for my medium-sized room, the quality of the sound and the volume level are great even without one. My second favourite thing about this kit (after the sound quality) is how easy it was to setup. I installed the app on my phone, plugged in the soundbar and just followed its instructions. While setting up the One SLs, I was wondering how I was going to configure them as surrounds, but the app did that for me when it recognized them. It then suggested I calibrate ... It then suggested I calibrate the sound in the space using my phone (I think this only works on iPhone for now). I had everything working in about 20mins. My only real criticism is how insanely expensive these components are, but when I saw the build quality of the speakers themselves and the sophistication of the software supporting them, I start to see where the value is.
Unbeatable for Home Cinema and great for enjoying music.Things I like:-Speakers are in perfect Sync without lagging , I have never encountered this before without hiccups. That alone, along with the great audio quality justifies the purchase.- The Bar (Beam Gen2) is elegantly designed and sounds superb with enough stereo expansion to fool you there are separate fronts (L+R).-The surrounds (One ) ,are also great looking and sound great with surprising bass from such a small speaker. I wouldn't hesitate to buy only one just for streaming music.-Provided your wifi is stable the speakers always remain connected and respond immediately.-Touch controls on every speaker is great. You can control the music from physically everywhere.- All streaming services are ... Depending on room and usage this would be great for a lot of people who just want to listen music on the rears without the bar.- Dialogue's Enhancement can be further improved. Although not the systems fault per se , many times due to surround mixing or room seating has the FX blasting through your ears and the center channel whispering. Add the option to increase more the dialogue/Center channel.- The option to add a separate physical remote with full audio control (< II > and +-). You can already do this for + - so I guess it is just a software thing.
Wonderful product. My wife and kids (and I) love it. Would be better if TV and music performance were more consistent. One of the functions we had hoped for was to be able to use a Sonos One in the kitchen area of our family room to support the sound from the Beam which is a few metres away in the TV area so that we could hear the TV without the Beam being too loud (i.e. a lower volume across the whole room). This scenario works perfectly with streamed music but with TV there is a latency or echo. We still use it this way with TV as the latency is preferable to increasing the volume from the Bean so we can hear the TV when we are cooking in the kitchen but for such a cutting edge, high tech sound system, I figured TV sound should be consistent with the sound from ... Excellent sound quality. I like to listen to music throughout my house and this is a great system for that. Easy to set up and use. I like that can easily add more speakers and accessories to enhance the sound. The speakers are good on its own but it really makes an impact when there are multiple speakers and I'm sure a sub will take it to the next level, but my two sound bars and two ONE speakers are enough for now for providing excellent sound to fill my house.
