I am not new to Sonos and have already set up 6 other speakers over the years to my system. All have stayed connected consistently. This roam 2 is a nightmare. I've spent hours trying to connect it to the new Sonos app. I've submitted diagnostic reports and been on live chat with a technician. The only answer they give is to reboot the speaker. Then they want a video of me rebooting the speaker! This is not what you expect when you buy an expensive piece of equipment. I eventually managed to connect it and the sound was good. By connecting it automatically registers it to you. I then bought the charging stand and a case for it. Today it's dropped off the app again. So I'm sat looking at a defunct piece of equipment. I had been increasingly doing webcam conferences and using headphones to improve sound quality. I wanted a Bluetooth speaker that would eliminate the need for headphone use and came to realize that Sonos did have an option with their Roam offerings.I found the setup to be extremely straightforward and comprehensive --- so complete that I only modified one setting to auto reconnect Bluetooth after being powered up.
