Love this, was a welcome upgrade to my original sub! A bit punchier, more responsive, especially on movies!The new feel is nicer than the older sub, as this has a matt finish. The setup is also a lot easier, the app detected the new sub and by just tapping my phone on the front, it did the rest!Very happy overall and now looking forward to enjoying movies and music with this. If you're not already a sub owner, this is probably the single biggest upgrade you can have to your existing Sonos system!

Sonos creates some beautiful products, that just work. Sub 4 is no exception, looks great in any room, and fills out the sounds from your music, movies, any media. Pairs well with the system, works in various locations and positions. Thanks to Trueplay tuning, your music sounds so much more balanced. Had mine in a dual sub setup, this gave me a little more presence in the low end. I personally would love a little more sass and thump from my bass speakers. Would like to see additional features for tuning or a larger sub offering altogether.

Set this up with our Sonos Beam (Gen 2), not thinking it would make a huge difference to the audio experience. Boy was I wrong! It brings the home cinema experience to a whole new level. Sound amplified & boosted but not distorted. From movies to music, everything sounds incredible. The sounds wraps around the room and lifts it. Love it!!

I'd never used my Beam for music until now - the Sub 4 gives so much warmth and depth to my music that it's hard to imagine not having it. The bass is incredibly powerful yet precise. Whether I'm listening to music or watching movies, the sound gains a whole new depth that I didn't think was possible. I'm especially impressed by how clearly it delivers low frequencies without any muddiness. After some adjustment in the setup process, the setup was easy and seamlessly. For anyone looking to take their audio experience to the next level, this subwoofer is a must-have. Highly recommended!
I added this to my kitchen setup to see if it would enhance my 'entertaining audio', and I am really pleased. It really transforms the depth of the audio in the room at all volume levels. It give's a new quality to the sound. During dinner with low medium volume it makes the audio really very rich. And then with the volume pumped up it adds the party vibe. As usual for Sonos, the build quality is exceptional, the set up is easy and the app integration and integration with other sonos speakers is seamless. I am sure it would be great in a home theatre setup but used in the kitchen I enjoy sharing the quality audio with all my guests!
Look great and sounds great. Can't tell the difference from a gen 3. The mate finish goes with the rest of the sonos line. I have two arcs in the living room one already has a gen 3 sub. This will go on the other arc or it could be a second sub on the first arc. Also have two fives in the living room. All of them playing music at once sound pretty amazing. You can notice a difference with a second sub. You could just turn up the bass on one sub. It does sound even better with two also evens out where the bass is coming from. Seems to be coming from everywhere. Also says made in China. My gen 3 was made in Malaysia.
