(I mirror them inside the camera).Rather than have multiple pairs of cards, it is cheaper to buy a laptop and an external SSD.So, a great tool for wildlife or sports photography, but really needs to be cheaper and/or higher capacity.

They don't tell you that when you go over it's impressive specs. If you a shoot raw (as I do) and do lots of focus stacking and time lapse (as I do) these fill up far too quickly. You cant shoot 8K without one of these and again it fills up quickly. You'll need at least 2 of them. Add that to the cost of your $7k camera.

Pros: Amazing memory card, absolutely rapid buffer clear times with rapid shooting 30 fps. Bought this to go with my new Sony A1 camera. As a wildlife photographer this is the kind of card you need. Rapid and responsive.

This card works really well with the Sony FX6! It is a must if you are in need of recording at least an hour on one card in the highest quality. The card is fast and seems quite durable. It is really small so you have to make sure you keep track of where it's stored. The biggest downside of this card is the price. Spending $400 on 1x 160 GB card is quite expensive. However there aren't much other options available at the moment for cards of this type. I definitely recommend this card if you are an FX6 user and can afford it. I give this card 4 stars only because of the high price tag. If cost is an issue you may want to look at the ProGrade version which is less expensive. If you focus on what bitrates this enables compared to a v90 card, then you'll be disappointed. If you notice the ludicrous, and constant, read write speeds on this thing, you'll understand why it exists. I've offloaded a full card in the middle of the shooting day, and I don't think I could ever go back to traditional SD card speeds. Make your own judgements about how often, and in what situations you're offloading footage, but this card is really great to have when you need it.

I have a Sony a1 and to get 30 frames a second RAW I need this card in the camera.The card does keep up with 30 fps and I only shoot 30 fps for up to about a few seconds and my buffer has not filled. I can shoot a burst and a few seconds and then later shoot another burst without waiting for the card to store the images. Purchased this card for our Sony FX6 camera. Allows for all the frame rates/speeds. Having a Sony card gives confidence in recording and storage. The card has a rugged outer case and fits perfectly into the camera slot and the Sony card reader. The 160GB size seems like a good trade-off between cost and storage capacity.
I was going to give this a 4 or 4.5 stars but changed my mind. So we all agree these cards are smallest and fastest in their category and only reason I was going to take a star(or a half) off was due to ridiculous price. However, after forgetting one of this card in my pant pocket and had it one through full cycle of PERMANENT PRESS Wash and HEAVY DUTY Dryer and STILL working like charm made me change my mind. Its been few months since the incident and the card is working perfectly fine, so the they are really 'TOUGH' and deserves the premium.
It's a shame to have to pay this much money for a CF Express card only to have it fail after less than two months of use. Yes I know it has a longer warranty but having to go through the process with sony to get it covered is going to be a pain. After taking a few photos I will inevitably get unable to display when reviewing photos. So far I have been able to get the photos off the card and onto the computer but it's a really pain to not be able to review photos in the field. If you can wait then wait! Sony can't corner the market and jack the price up on these cards forever.
