Two calls to the retailer (at least they were freephone) who IMO should have taken responsibility for fixing the TV at this stage. Then followed calls to Sony and the agents appointed by Sony to carry out the repair - 11 days later. Add to that a webform and numerous emails to and from Sony and the local Sony Centre. The whole procedure was stressful and not the sort of service I expected from Sony. I'm also very disappointed with the retailer - from whom I shall not purchase another TV.

I have a very old non-smart Bravia which still works perfectly well. I wanted to upgrade to a larger screen smart TV. Based on previous experience and having taken advice from my local hi fi shop, I opted for the Bravia even though it was slightly more expensive than other comparable brands. I am happy with my purchase. Any criticisms? - I would have preferred a proper instruction book ( call me old fashioned! ). Yes, one can get the online manual but I’d rather have the real thing. I purchased this TV a few weeks ago as a replacement for our other Sony TV we purchased back in 2013. The TV from 2013 is still perfect, but has been put into our other room. So this new TV has taken centre stage in the living room.I personally don't think you can beat Sony for quality and I probably wouldn't buy a TV from another manufacturer. And this TV is no exception, the picture quality is amazing as you would expect, the sound is cinematic and has made for a suitable replacement for the old TV.The only slight gripe I would have is the fact that there is no scart socket anymore, and it would be nice if the support legs had optional insert points further in towards the centre of the TV as we don't like to wall mount. Swapped this for the smaller, 32" Bravia. Sales rep didn't discuss what we needed as well as he could have done. We are not heavy viewers but were very disappointed with that minimum hd tv which was grainy at 32". Sound was muddy (my hearing is OK but not good so I often couldn't follow dialogue). Called shop and asked to swap to this after reading features and reviews of the range. Swap went fine. This is both best picture we've ever had (colours and clarity) and best sound - making stuff I couldn't follow, even with headphones or hearing aids because of low grade audio electronics, into very clear, enjoyable viewing. Bought this for my wife who is now bedridden with Alzheimer’s. It works from an indoor aerial and the internet - for streaming channels. One of the best features is that the picture is clear even in bright daylight. It has all the features you’d expect from the best manufacturer in TVs - excellent sound, support for Bluetooth, airdrop and screen mirroring, and a fantastic picture quality. Upon its speedy arrival it was easy to assemble and has 4 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, an optical, earphone and internet port. The 45” screen may seem excessive to some for a bedroom but is ideal to catch the attention of my wife and for myself to watch films and sporting events. I bought this from Currys as a damaged box item. My prevous non smart Panasonic tv had a good picture (10 yrs old) and l never needed to fiddle around with the settings. After all this time l decided to upgrade and get a 4K smart tv with a good refresh rate which this has. The reviews for the TV were good to very good, so l decided to get this one. Unfortunately, l am always mucking about with the settings because the picture quality is so variable i.e not that good. In fact l dont think the quality is as good as my old tv. The settings to auto adjust the light in the room is not good, so l turned it off otherwise the picture ends up being dimmer than normal. I get the impression that the remotes were not used by people who used the tv feature. I use the more complicated remote so I have direct access to some features without having to select from a menu. There are tiny buttons for guide, last channel, mute, subtitles and the info button. The info button is at the opposite end of the remote to the guide button. Yet the settings button is on a prominent corner of the main directional control area. Also the 'last used input source' power-on option doesn't take note of the tv option as an input source.Otherwise reasonable brightness, sound, vewing angle and a well-rated tv in many group review tests.

It's just brilliant, with crystal clear details.I was taken aback with the internal memory, which is just 4.4GB. However, I attached an external flash drive, and the TV allowed me to wedge it as an added internal storage (instead of being a removable type). I now have 34.4GB total memory for apps and games.I totally recommend this TV where home security, cinematic experience for homes, and gaming matters.
