Does not play H265 HEVC movie files through with installed media player. Had to download VLC Media player. Now working fine, but should be mentioned in specs. Took 4 days of talking to Sony and Good Guys customer support to work this out. Was told by Sony a firmware update should be coming soon. Not good for a TV of this price. Good viewing ankle and no glare on screen. A bit slow in operating between Channels, inputs and volume.

Finally upgraded from a 10 year old Sony 46". After doing way too much research and holding out for 2021 tv models that don't seem to have quite nailed HDMI 2.1 I finally got the X9500H. All I can say is the picture is perfect. The Dolby Vision HDR and all round brightness is amazing and when compared to the LG C9 OLEDs in my office they really just don't measure up. Pro reviews complained about blooming. I for the life of me can't understand what they're on about. I've TRIED to create blooming turning on subtitles on a windowed movie and I can't see any and don't know what they're complaining about!. The colour volume and accuracy is unreal. No artificial neon Samsung over saturation here - just colours that are true and pop off the screen. Haven't used it for ... MoreFinally upgraded from a 10 year old Sony 46". Haven't used it for gaming but considering I'm going to be playing retro games and lego star wars 60Hz without VRR will be fine lols. Didn't think I would use the built in Android OS but omg - it's the best. Such amazing app support. Super happy with this TV.

After reading some reviews, I decided to buy 55" model (later upgraded to 65"). I already had a 4k tv before but just by seeing the splash screen after setup, I was blown away. The TV is beautifully bright and perfect for a bright living room. TV does an amazing job with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Definitely would recommend this TV if you are into movies but if your are into gaming, probably look at 900H as 950H does not support HDMI2.1.

I was a bit skeptical of paying so much for an 4K Ultra UHD LED TV when there are cheaper models around and I watch mainly cable TV (which is 720p in resolution). After using the Sony X95H for about a month, I am very impressed. There is a clear picture quality difference between a mid range 4K TV and the Sony X95H. The colours are far more vibrant when showing a 720p cable TV program. Viewing angles are also very good when seated diagonally. More importantly the 4 speakers are awesome. There was no need for an external speaker. It is well worth the price. The design is also very nice and sleek. Highly recommended.
Went to look at the KD65X900H and after a a comparison in store couldn't go past the XD659500H. Amazing picture clarity, particularly with 4K Netflix, upscaling is awesome and the ease of use with Android TV and catch up apps is great. Rich colours and a range of picture and sound options if you really know your stuff. Factory settings are already really good. Voice search also a great function. To really make the most of the 4k, you need to have it connected to a sound bar, which is easy with an ARC input. Setup was really easy too. Sony quality ensures really sharp picture, with bright colours and dark blacks. Great for sport viewing too with a high refresh rate. Can't recommend this highly enough. Definitely worth that little bit extra.
I purchased this TV as a replacement for a Sony KD55X800H and as expected the performance of the TV straight from the box was good though the preset colours where a little to pronounced, a customised setting and all was good. The 200Hz screen refresh rate plus the X1 Ultimate processor give a lifelike presentation of all sports; ball, MotoGP, etc... The action is totally blur free and watching movies is a pleasure with really good presentation of even the lowest light scenes and the blacks really deep.
I bought this TV about a month ago and have been using it since. its amazing. really happy with it. I bought it direct through Sony and was no issues. the picture is amazing and the system is really slick and smart. Have connected a keyboard to it via bluetooth and find this really handy.Extremely happy I purchased this TV and highly recommend it to anyone looking at TV's in this size and category.
Better than expected. I had a 10 year old higher end Sony TV (remember the days of Full HD 1080P with 3D?) and didn't think changing to this would make much difference. Chromecast / Apple TV had all the features I need and let's face it - how much quality 4K content is there out there on Australian TV and web streaming services? Only reason I changed was because it was a good deal and I was initially reserved about spending the extra for the previous year's "top of the line" model. Boy am I glad I did. The picture quality out of the box is subtly but noticeably crisper, brighter with great colour definition. What's really changed our lives - only for those that didn't have a TV with these features, is just how much we use the Android Apps and HomeKit integration. ... MoreBetter than expected. What's really changed our lives - only for those that didn't have a TV with these features, is just how much we use the Android Apps and HomeKit integration. Apps are just seamless, the TV switches on so quickly and resumes where you left off. It actually means I'm more willing to stop and switch off a show now, knowing it is easy and speedy to resume without the whole rigmarole of waiting for chromecast to boot, loading the app on the ipad, casting etc. Setup was a breeze and I couldn't recommend highly enough, especially if you decide to commit to a HomeKit home or are an Apple user. Only 3 weeks in thus far but so far so good! It did freeze one time and I switched itoff at the power but it hasn't occurred again (so far).
Bought this because our Hisense was playing up, thinking this was a more reputable brand that it would work a lot better but we were wrong. Operating system seems slow going in between apps and also within apps. Tried restarting it, resetting to factory settings, clearing the data and cache, deleting unused apps and disabling unused apps. Its still slow while using Netflix and YouTube. The native app to brown video files are useless and you need to download a third party app like VLC. Audio does not sync using the native app. Tried using ok google function for a while but had to turn it off because it keeps activating itself from the tv audio if something is said that sounds similar to ok google. Definitely the best picture TV Ive seen in my research it was this that I came to make my decision on the quality and brand. I only have one criticism after scanning the channels editing and arranging the channels in the right order of my choosing was no easy task but perseverance I got it arranged exactly how I wanted them to be M. Sony could do a better job in this area to make it more user friendly on editing channels.Having said that Im very very pleased with my purchase one feature I did really like what a special Netflix button that takes me straight to Netflix easy as. Good one Sony
