Just used the battery charger for my Sony NP-FZ100 battery which was at 50% charge. The led indicator illuminated one bar and the battery was fully charged in about 1hour 15 minutes. The led indicator is perfect for keeping an eye on the charge level as opposed to guessing progress. A really long cable just under 2 metre length is much more than I'm used to, but it's very welcome. It's just a pity that the battery charger isn't included with the camera but I do prefer it to using a usb C cable connection direct to the camera.

The one charger to rule them all! This is by far far the most reliable charger for the NP-FZ 100 Sony lithium-ion batteries. My suggestion is having a couple of these to charge multiple batteries at a time. Its charges the batteries the quickest no matter what the other “fast charger” gimmick products say. Reliable and safe Sony product.

An external battery charger is my preferred way to charge my camera batteries, so this is an essential piece of equipment for me. All of the Sony chargers I've used have worked very well. I only gave it 4 stars out of 5 because of the price - definitely would be fantastic if Sony would include this as part of the package when a new model camera takes a totally different battery & charger, but that's another story. The charger works well, and I am really happy with the new battery it works with - a real improvement over the last model.

Shame on you.Other than that it does charge faster than in camera charging and although a wall plug would've been nicer for me personally it's still a well built charger. I am 100% satisfied in how well packaged B&H send items, too. No matter if its and SD card or a zoom lens it always arrives undamaged thanks to the packaging. Appreciate you guys.

The charging process is also straightforward, with clear indicators to show the battery status.
The new Sony mirrorless camera do not ship with an adapter. So if you own a Sony mirrorless camera I highly recommend owning this charging adapter. I frankly don’t feel comfortable charging my battery through my mirrorless camera and I would highly recommend you spend the extra bucks to safeguard your investment.So if you are not sure this is how you want to spend your money but want to protect your investor this piece of hardware is a no brainer.Best part about this adapter is after the battery is done charging it shuts off!
Pricey charger that used to come with the purchase of any good digital camera. The battery charger works as it’s supposed to and seems of good quality. Sony has found a way to squeeze more profit by selling it separately and for about double the price it should be retailing at. However, I needed the item and paid the 100 clams for it.
The charger works just as intended, but is outrageously expensive, value-wise. As a wedding videographer that typically uses 3 cameras throughout the wedding day, i easily go through 6-10 batteries in an event, and have to have backups just to be safe. Sony has forced everyone to move to OEM batteries, which is fine, except the charger is $100 for a single battery charger. So i have to spend $1000 to be able to charge all 10 batteries overnight in a situation where i have back-to-back events. Sony NEEDS to offer a a reliable, professional alternative option for charging large quantities of batteries at once.
I decided to purchase this Sony product to go with my new A6700. It is expensive and works nicely. More important is the reason for this purchase. I personally do not like to charge camera batteries while they are in the camera. This makes the camera unavailable for spontaneous shots. Thus, I recommend this product (plus a spare battery) so the camera is always available.
