I've owned this TV for approx' 6 weeks now so I'm now comfortable with giving it a review.Summary - 1. Absolutely beautiful & accurate picture quality.2. Selecting Professional - Expert1 and setting the basics of colour, Brightness & Contrast & leaving the remaing settings at their default gets you something like 85% picture accuracy.I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I spent 2 hours with my Spears & Munsil UHD test Bluray to fine tune all the settings for the HDMI Input. I then transferred these to the Apps & free to air TV settings & fine-tuned those to suit. I'm guessing around 95% picture accuracy now. I'm not quite ready to fork out another $2000 for Calman software & calibration equipment to get that last 5% haha. Am I happy with this TV? Absolutely. It is a major step up from my Sony 75X9000F which was an excellent TV. I count the number of dimming zones as being 740 the above TV has 55 so this coupled with Sony's second to none FALD algorithym translates to a major improvement in halo-ing / backlight blooming. OK it's not quite OLED but it's damned impressive even with my loungeroom lights dimmed all the way down. It did take a little while to work out the best settings for motion smoothing (MotionFlow=Auto, FilMode=Off) but once set that's now excellent and I think most would be completely happy with it.There was a moment of concern when I turned on the Bravia 7 one morning in the second week of owning it. It went into a Black Screen Bootloop & I thought " Oh no do I have a Lemon?" A bit of research suggested this may be because of the firmware update I did the night before so I tried several soft reset procedures found online & eventually one worked. I'm very happy to say I've had zero problems since doing this.The last thing I'd like to add is that my previous TV would briefly display a HDR or DolbyVision Icon in the top right hand corner when that input signal was detected. I really liked having that feature & I'd like to request that Sony implement it in their next firmware update. I'd also appreciate it if they could keep the BlackScreen bootloop scares to a minimum haha. Hope this helps people when considering their next TV purchase. Cheers.

My last Sony was 8 years old, and it finally died, and Google was my go to, and it's even better smoother, faster with this T. V, even out of the box with default settings, it is impressive. You don't have to do much to adjust it, but it's all there. If you like I have it in a dark basement, it's fantastic. S instant syncing and issue was gone completely. Watching HDR content in 4K movies. Fantastic It's beautiful. You'll see pictures of the TV on reviews, but the camera doesn't even do it justice. You need eyeballs.Even YouTube is fantastic, says 4K 8K, it doesn't matter what it's called nature,Space,drone footage all looks fantastic of different places around the world. I was considering the bravia 8 65" for oled.. but I hang on to my TV'S, as long as I can, and I didn't want to worry about organic light emitting diodes degrading over the years time of use. If it happens, it's too late so I avoided it,as well as burning risk likely won't happen but I didn't want the risk so I went bravia 7 I was replacing 65" but then I said to my wife well few hundred more can go 75" she replied well just do that then!So all in all great tv supports 120hz x2 inputs but 1 is earc/arc I'm using a receiver and my inputs go to the receiver I did use the 120hz port for the xbox but there was audio delay tyat can be common no matter the tv and only solution was to passthrough series x from reciver but gave up 120hz but you can't tell at all I promise! Give this tv a chance you won't regret it I did plenty of reviews and homework on it jyst get it you won't look back i sure as heck done it's massive!

The picture quality is absolutely fantastic. Getting it out of the box was easy, Sony have really thought well about how to get such as large TV out and set up safely (you absolutely need 2 people just for the size of it). Out of the box the TV produced nice images, personally I'm a fan of the more natural style of image, finding some other brands to over-render the image by default. Skin tones are perfect, and the colour range is excellent. I was considering an OLED TV from a competitor, but I don't regret buying this after getting it home. It's lovely and bright with really deep blacks. I think for the price point it's a little expensive. In terms of picture, Vivid mode was too bright and over saturated for us. We tend to stick to Standard picture mode, and increase the brightness. The sounds quality from the TV is pretty average, but not a problem for us as we use a home theater amplifier instead. The smart TV/Google TV features are fast and responsive. One issue we had was using Apple TV 4K - the lip sync was a bit out, and the TV would go black for a second or two when starting content - I think we solved this issue, by changing the Apple TV from 60Hz Dobly Vision to 50Hz Dolby Vision - it all seems to work well now.Overall we are very happy with the purchase, but would recommend buying it on sale.
