I've been using a Rode Cardioid Condenser microphone for years and finding the appropriate gain with my pre amp was very difficult. I would always find the vocals clipping or being too low. With the C-100, I have much more concise volume control and the clarity of the vocals are impeccable. Using this mic allows the mixing and production process to go a lot faster.

Thi wtf s microwave is amazing. Quiet and easy to use. Sounds is amazing and the mix is so articulate. I love this mic. I have a ride NT1, vanguard v4 and a couple of avantone mics (ck6, ck7plus and the cv12). The Sony 100 is by far my favorite.

Overall:When I first opened the box I was surprised at how small this mic actually is. I love Sonys mic and have had the pleasure of using a C-800. Despite the small appearance this mic sounded amazing!! It’s close to C-800 but does not have all the magic a c-800 has. That being said, I’m very impressed with this mic!

You know it is something special when you unbox it and the case is wrapped in a black cloth like bag. It is like when my grandmother raves about these Prada bags that are in a nice felt bag when unboxed. You know something good is coming out of the box.I have used and have had so many microphones from Manley to Neumann and can say this microphone is way up there in sonic quality. It has the Manely sound quality to it. I think it is better. That right up in your face Pop and Hip Hop vocals.It is a good compact size with the suspension cradle and is not too heavy. Has a pad, low cut, and is multi pattern. It has a finished sound.
