I purchased this unit to replace my old Stock Head Unit as it was cheaper to do than a secondhand unit. It does have really good inputs but on my Seat I do now need a new antenna. I seriously dislike the menu and placement of the buttons. These young kids who design these don't realise 50 Yr old women want volume, a button for each input so to simplify. Also, why not fit an auto dimming circuit for the lighting? Aint rocket science or is it? However... it works and it does the job and I suppose for the price it's not bad. I'm just old and grumpy and want simple like the original.

Acquired 1 harness from Repco and the other harness from SCA across the road.I decided to install myself as a project during lockdown. Internet provided all the information I needed for changing over the stock radio to a newer, more feature packed unit. Older brother observed and offered great advice. Let's see how I feel the day after the warranty expires - LOL.

I last bought a Sony car stereo back in 2003 and the radio tuner finally packed in. I paid over £500 back in 2003 and this new one, which is clearly far better, only cost £105! It simply plugged straight into the Mercedes plugs and was a dawdle to set up. Looks lovely, isn’t garish in any way and it sounds lovely. Plus I finally have a phone function in my lovely old SLK. Great service from Halfords. Thanks guys.
Great Car Stereo with a load of features for an amazing price! Bought this to upgrade the poor factory fit stereo in my sons Peugeot 107. Good quality as you would expect from Sony and comes complete with the wiring harness which made it easy to fit and install. You will need an aerial adapter though. Sound is excellent even through the factory fit speakers. It’s worth playing around with the EQ settings as it has a few presets but you can get the sound as you like if you play around with the custom settings. Has the input for a sub woofer, Bluetooth works really well and you make and receive hands free calls. All in all this is a great value for money stereo upgrade with a ton of features. Buy it, you will not be disappointed.
I bought this just over a year ago, and just after the warranty expired, I started having trouble connecting via Bluetooth. I thought it might be due to a recent iOS update, so tried connecting with different Bluetooth devices, but they couldn't find the Sony unit either. I tried updating the unit's firmware, but the process wouldn't complete. In the end, I removed the unit from my car to test at home. There was a slight watermark on the casing, and when I opened the unit, a small stain on the motherboard. After cleaning, the unit was still not detectable via Bluetooth, so I reluctantly bought a new unit.The new unit works perfectly, and I have sealed the seams with waterproof tape just in case any moisture gets into the dashboard in future. Fingers crossed...
I looked at many online reviews with many satisfied customers and I love the look of the fascia and playing around with the buttons on the test unit in store. Bought the unit with the adaptor wiring kit and it plugged right in to my RX8. I run Kicker component speakers front and rear and the Sony DSX-A410BT absolutely drives them, bass is incredible and the unit plays flawlessly! At this price I kind of feel like I am ripping off Sony and not the other way around, great Sony quality that is hard to beat.
Well when I purchased this product for my car it was meant to be just a stop gap until I could put enough money away to buy one more expensive. But after setting this up in my vehicle. I was shocked how clear the sound that was being produced in all ranges low to high . I really liked this product sound quality that much I bought an other for my camper and link it from one of my devices in my camper as a surround sound system as well as my radio. Family and friends can't get over how well it sounds as a surround sound in the camper.
This radio does work most of the time but has a few very annoying traits,-The song title only works about 10% of the time, most of the time it just stays stuck on the first song that was played- You can only store the memory of 2 phones to it at a time- It takes ages to connect to the music, at best 10 seconds, normally 20-30seconds- Sometimes it just wont pair automatically and you need to do it manually again-First time I paired another phone to it, it just stopped working with my phone and I spent a long time deleting and re-pairing it until it eventually worked with both-Its probably just my noisy car, but microphone quality is pretty bad, I can't really call anyone when I'm on the motorway, I think a unit with a separate mic would be betterOnce it ... its a car radio. does what it's meant to! installed it in about 10 minutes sat in the carpark, and had it playing music from my phone 30 seconds after that. So happy with it on that account.don't get why its so expensive though - its got less features (eg. no cd player) than the one i bought 10 years ago, and cost nearly as much despite all other electronics having got vastly cheaper in that time.
