Everything is great with my "new" used DVD/VCR. The only odd thing was it still had it's "rack mounts" attached to the sides, which when I removed left a hole in the side of the unit. I put a piece of tape on it to cover the hole, but other than that, I'm very happy, and it's works perfectly with the DVD and VHS. Thanks!!! Gregg W. Canoga Park, CA

When this was advertised as "Fully Tested" I assumed that meant that the loading door for DVDs operated by using the Open/Close button on the unit. It does not work. The door for loading DVDs will not open without a remote control. I have had to purchase a Remote Control unit just so I could play DVDs. It leads me to wonder what was tested fully; certainly NOT the ability to load a DVD.

My old remote works on it (thank God). My older devices are choosy as to the DVD playable; not this baby. Very democratic. The VCR side is stiff. I am happy to see my wide Tape collection. Yet the "Insert" and "Eject" is touchy here.

I already have one of these machines, and have had it for many years now. I love the quality from Sony products, and this has it! I loved this player so much, I wanted/needed one just like it for another room. But, it's passe technology these days, and I don't think they make these anymore. I paid about $150.00 for my original player, and was able to find these at one store only, for about $450.00. Too much money!!! It's great and all, but not THAT great. But beside that, I love it. It doesn't record to DVD, but that's OK. This is just perfect for what I want/need.
Many thanks! This item came a lot quicker than I thought it would. Outstanding! And my wife & I have been streaming DVD's to catch up on our shows. It's working just fine & we're looking to hopefully, successfully transfer our VCR tapes to DVD as soon as possible. Once again, many thanks.
Video equipment like this is more & more difficult to find, and finding dealer's stock is virtually impossible. Our machine was manufactured in 2009 and is so pristine that you must reasonably ask yourself if it was ever used at all. It is externally flawless and as clean and as dust free as new inside. Having said this, it functions as such and we could not be more pleased. We had hoped to find something functional at best, but this far exceeds our expectations that I felt I had to leave some feedback and give credit where credit is due. We needed to bring in the expertise of a friend with strong technical background to couple it onto our widescreen smart TV, but it is all and more than what we had hoped for. This Sony VCR / DVD combo Player produce the wonderfully images and Hi-Fi stereo digital sound. Device is excellent design w/ Remote. Esey for use..
I bought this to convert all of my birthday tapes and other tapes I found to my computer. I absolutely love it! This VCR/DVD player works great! The quality is AMAZING!!! It's also easy to hook up and use. If you're looking for an amazing VCR or VCR/DVD combo, get this one! You will not regret it at all.
My brother who was very skeptical of any refurbished product but could not afford to buy a new store bought Sony decided to trust my judgment allowing me to buy this wonderful product for him (with his money of course). He says that this was the best bargain he ever made. It even shut the mouth of his grumpy girlfriend who strongly disapproved (like she does with everything) of this buy. With a collection of "vintage" VHS tapes and nothing to play them on, we were excited to find this combination player and recorder in your store! We just needed to get an RCA to HDMI converter in order to watch the image on these new fangled TV's. The image is as crisp as remembered. It's so lovely to be able to watch these videos again! Thank you for a great product that is easy to use, has a remote control and plays our old VHS tapes!
