I'm using this on my Sony a6600, and it is great for outdoor and indoor shots calling for an ultra-wide lens. Excellent sharpness and the powered zoom feature is great when doing video. Having image stabilization in your camera is a real plus, and this is the case with the a6600. This might be a consideration for those considering this lens.

I wanted a 2.8 lens but bought this as it had OSS while my A6100 did not have IBIS. As I mainly use it outdoors in the day (landscape and street) I am happy to say it has not been a problem at all. Overall very happy with purchase (of course could be cheaper!!!)

First of all keep in mind why you are buying this lens.1. Small and lightweight2. Power Zoom lens.3. 10mmThe cons that everyone talks about1. No image stabilization2. Price3. F4Now that the pros and cons are out of the way let me talk about my experience- Overall it is a good lens. Not great, not the best, but there isn't anything in this class with the power zoom feature which is essential for video work. The closest thing to this is the Tamron 11-20 2.8. If I was shooting photos only then I would easily recommend the Tamron. I own that one as well. That is a crazy sharp lens especially from 11-16mm. If you know how to use flash when indoors then the F4 isn't a big deal. Reviews of the Tamron vs Sony show that that Tamron has better bokeh even at F4. ... MoreFirst of all keep in mind why you are buying this lens.1. Small and lightweight2. This lens is small, light, sharp, and fairly priced. I use it on my Sony A6600 and it's an excellent pairing, especially during travel when a compact form factor is important. I had some concern on how the zooming would perform given that it's a power zoom, but it felt natural and precise. Overall, highly recommend if you have an APS-C Sony camera.
I have a sony fx30 camera. This leans perfect work. However, Best Buy's open box products are sometimes disappointing. This is because it has not been cleaned at all and is being resold as it was returned.
Recently purchased and not fully tested in all usages, but very solid built and compact lens. Great to travel light and for close shoots. The zoom is very soft.
Bought this lens to use on an a6500, which I use as a carry-around camera for myself and as a travel camera for other family members. This lens has a great wide angle zoom range and is surprisingly sharp. I'd highly recommend it.
I purchased this lens about 2.5 months after it debuted. I was unable to find it listed as either pro or con on any Infrared hotspot list, so I had to test it on my own. Unlike my Sony 18-55 mm and 18-135 mm lenses, this one demonstrated a hotspot at most of its focal lengths when employing a 780 nm high pass filter. This hotspot is so intense at small apertures as to deem it unusable for IR photography. As I returned it in a timely fashion, B&H refunded my purchase (save, as per their policy, the insured shipping cost to send it back.)
I do primarily Real Estate photography. The older, 10-18 that I had been using gave a lot of window bloom and sun flare. This G lens does a much better job of dealing with those situations. This is a really great lens at this price point!
I have the Sony A6600 with the Sony lens E 2.8/16-55G. This combination is perfect for me. I do need sharps pictures (that's all I care. I graduated from Canon AR7 IV!), and this one makes me very happy. Since I travel a lot, this combination is a bit heavy for me. Last month after many researches, read many reviews I was looking for a new lens for my trip to France. I decide to buy this new Sony lens E 10-20 f/4 G, and am I happy about it. Not only, this combination is quite light, but pictures are razor sharps as well. We went to Marseille, St Tropez for one week, pictures are very sharp.
