I bought this flash plan to use as a commander to do off camera flash but cannot get it to work with HVL-F32M. Wasted a lot of time and research to try different things but the result is the same. Probably need another flash with wireless remote capability. That mean another one of this flash or F45RM or F60RM to get it to work. As a side note, this flash build quality is good.

This is a fantastic flash! It's small, yet does the job for indoor real estate ("architectural") photography. It doesn't swivel but there are work-arounds for that.I have 3 other flash units (Metz & Nissin) and this little thing, using only 2 AA batteries, is the best of all. Batteries last much longer than on my other 4xAA units, which was the opposite of my expectations. Recycle time is near instantaneous. No overheating issues like many other Sony flashes.

Open box items at best buy are the best. It's a great flash at a 30% discount. I would recommend this flash to anyone that is looking for a flash with extra features like wireless capabilities and face tracking.

Having bought 3rd party flashguns in the past I decided to try a Sony flash with my Rx10 IV. The flash is very lightweight, portable and quite powerful for its size. I have it works very well with the rx10 and exposure seems far better than other flashguns I have used. The only disappointment is the head doesn't swivel.
I’ve only had this a few weeks but love the quality of pics I’ve been able to get in bounce mode. It’s well built and love that I can pair it with a second piece for off camera flash. Only downside is the ticket price
I assumed with sony's advertising of "with wireless remote control" and "Radio wireless communication is available" that i could use this as a wireless handheld flash. Researching compatibility lists and Q&A's on amazon and Best Buy (this product page) said this flash is more or less compatible with nearly every sony camera, so i decided to get it.However, I soon found that WIRELESS COMPATIBILITY is different. This flash should work with 99% of sony cameras when it's mounted to the hot shoe, but it will only work WIRELESSLY with a select few cameras. In short, if your camera doesn't support the wireless functionality inherently, you'll need to buy 2 of these flashes or their fancy $350 'flash commander'.Additionally, I could not find any way of telling where my ... A fabulous product works with face detection recognition in almost all Sony cameras to. expose for face values. Set flash to minus 2/3 and just left it there after extensive flash testing I have always done. Indoor outdoor fill flash comes out perfect and makes the flash fill undectable as if the light happened to be prefect.
Just received this flash today and so far its perfect for my needs with my A7r iii camera. This size was what I expected, not too small not too big and doesn't add really too much weight to my camera. Still going through the settings to see what's best for my shooting situations, but so far I'm very pleased with this flash.
Works perfectly if you update your firmware on older cameras.Using on A7RIII, firmware 3.10 works perfectly.Be sure to not use Li-ion batteries as the flash does not like them.
Worst external flash!! Never ever buy this one!! Spent some of my precious time figuring how it works!! Even bestbuy expert couldn’t rectify it!! Returned it !!
