Battery life is very good, even when playing back hi res files via bluetooth.The only reason I've dropped a star is because of the transfer software. It's a bit, well, basic, and sometimes I'm having to separate the albums it decides to join together. E.G. you may find albums that are labelled Greatest Hits all end up lumped together regardless of the artist. You can search via artist on the unit itself so it's not a real biggie, but I just like my albums tidy.

I went back to my 10-year old iPod classic, where I can play videos, view pictures and play music without half the hassle. Maybe it's a perfect player for other people but this thing was a perpetual headache for me, or maybe it was just a bad unit, but it did everything else great, it's just that the way it deals with external Micro SD cards was obviously faulty. I reviewed higher end units and they all have their bugs. Funny how these technology companies will gladly take your money but can't seem to make their famed and esteemed gadgets work beyond planned obsolescence. Remember when listening to music was as easy as pressing PLAY on a cassette or dropping a needle? Digital is a beautiful demon.

I am already a Sony Walkman fan and already have the NWZ-X1060 which is superb. However it does not have Bluetooth and using a Bluetooth dongle is not always ideal. So I bought the NW-A35 specifically for its Bluetooth capabilities. I needed a replacement for my ageing iPod; this is perfect. Small size, no hard drive to go wrong, expandable storage, long battery life and high resolution playback. Performance is very good, sound is excellent. Volume is ridiculously low, you have to turn it right up to use it. This isn't Sony's fault, it's the EU directive but it would be nice if you turn this off in the options. The Sony software is dreadful. You can avoid it and just copy files using Explorer but then most of your artwork won't work because this unit is very fussy about jpeg formats - the one major annoyance with this unit. But, an excellent unit and for the price and performance it compares very favourably with much more expensive units. Very pleased with mine!

Great walkman that basically looks brand new. Plays my FLAC files and the battery, so far, lasts all day. It even hooks up to my car via its USB port. Fantastic little device that I have on me everyday. Bluetooth functionality also works well enough to connect to my DAC that is in the living room. I enjoy the clean and simple OS and UX and purchased this specific model because it does not run on Android and instead utilizes Sony's proprietary OS.

My guess is that only the latest Sony Bluetooth speakers can be expected to work - but why should you need to buy new ones? Perhaps this is a deliberate policy by Sony to make you buy their own BT speakers and headphones? If it is then I for one am not impressed hence the product looses two stars. Come on Sony get it fixed and support industry standards!

I use ProStereo H2 for the majority of my listening and and find the quality and connectivity to be brilliant with absolutely no problems.Navigating through the menus was strange to begin with but soon became straightforward and quick.Just a couple of concerns here, battery life could be better for me and it does seem to take a long time to recharge, and uploading music onto the device takes a little time to get used to with few instructions to help you if like me you struggle a little with tech.However I am happy with my purchase and very pleased with the audio performance overall.Recommended!!
This arrived a couple of weeks ago. I usually use it with a Sony BSP10 Bluetooth speaker. This pairing lasts hours - at least 12.I bought it to free up space on a 64GB iPhone. I've put a 400GB SanDisc MicroSD card in it and understand it will take 2TB cards once they reach the market. The transfer software is a lot easier than iTunes as there are several ways to move items from the iMac to the Walkman.It is strange that it has a unique socket/cable - a standard USB would be handy and avoid having different cables. Perhaps the cable is faster than USB. It certainly transfers quickly!The screen resolution is sharp and clear. Navigation around the interface is quite intuitive and easy. It recognises iTunes playlists and these can simply be dragged from iTunes to the card/Walkman.Generally very pleased with it!
