Product Quality:The overall quality is good. The battery is just a little bigger than the original Sony NP-FW50 but it still fits perfectly.Tried to use it during our shoot today and the battery percentage wasn't consistent. I have 68% before turning my camera off. However, when I turned it back on, it suddenly became 75%. This happened a few times during our shoot but it lasted longer than I expected.

Best Feature:slides right in like the stock battery.Value For Money:noProduct Quality:inconsistent voltage. would not recommendI dont think that this battery is genuine, it drops 2% with 1 still photo. Charges very fast and discharges just as fast. Might have lower capacity than advertised. Still useable but would be a last minute back up power only.

I have one Sony battery that was included with my a6500. I had two off-brand backups that eventually lost their ability to charge. So I ordered two (allegedly) legitimate Sony batteries. My charger will not even light up one green to indicate it is charging. Other than the orange charge light indicator, no sign of life (or charge level) from either battery. I will leave one battery on the charger, testing to see whether it is warm--looking for any sign of life--throughout the day or night. I did confirm that the batteries arrived with zero charge (by inserting one into the camera). Perhaps I received old batteries. I will attempt to update this review if I see any sign of life after six or eight hours on the charger.

I recently bought a new Sony FW50 and at the same time SmallRig and Duracell. I've been logging shot counts with each. I normally (always) get lower than advertised shots per charge because of the way I use the a6500 but I abuse them all the same so the comparison should hold. This is since July 2023, 4 months, 2986 shots in all.Shots per charge average:Sony: 185SmallRig: 246Duracell: 255Surprised me, but it is what it is.
Its ok, but loses power very quickly. The rating indicates that the battery should be able to do about 380 shots. I have been getting maybe 80. Yes, there is a time issue here. I don't use the camera often.I have read that the battery drains quickly as a causal result. Compared to my Nikon batteries, the Sony ones are not as durable or long lasting. Better than the third party versions I would imagine.
This is the first time I have procured a previously used rechargeable Sony battery. Original Sony OEM batteries are considerably more expensive (by a factor of 3), than this previously used battery. It arrived quickly, and as soon as I received it, I placed in on the charger and it charged up to 100% charge. Since I only recently received it, I don't know if the charge will last as long as new batteries, but so far I am quite happy with the purchase.
