I have the 40 Year Anniversary model (NW-A100TPS) and absolutely love it. The sound is amazing through my Sony Headphones, it's a lovely thing to hold when in it's Retro Case, and the Cassette Screen Saver is really clever as it changes according to the file quality you are listening to. I pinned the music player app to make it feel less Android and more Retro Walkman.

I bought my Walkman - A105 on month ago..Purchased a 128GB Ultra Micro sd card, so do use the on board memory as the 16gb is not big enough for music, as this device is Android based operations uses this availible internal memory.Presently using google play music and alos backing up my cd collection using Sony's Music Centre on a windows based pc. A little inconventent as i'm using a mac and I thought Sony would make this available for mac users as well.The software is fast and easy to use and tranfers quickly to the walkman, you just need a windows base pc.My only bug bare is the battery life. I did read a previous comment about this and thought it would't be a issue. I did find a pair of NC31E (Ebay ~£20) and these work really well and including the Noise Cancelling (probably cuts 95% of background noise). I'm in no rush so i'll keep looking around for the best deals.What i've noticed is I'm not using my smart phone for music and now I have my music in one place.Enjoy, Music.

Sony MP3 players are the best. This is my fifth. I was a radio professional and now am a mobile dj. Walkman makes preparing my crate for each set a positive pleasure. I wish accessing sd card content was easier.

Good unit, Looks very retro and cool. Because the unit has Android you can use streaming services like Tidal. Battery isn't the best compared to a phone however the unit is tiny and a worthwhile trade off.

Screen is small but everything is readable and easy to use.Probably the only complaint would be using the device in your car isn't as intuitive as it should be. Cant connect to my VW via android auto or mirror link. Can connect using usb and works well, album art loads ok (slow) and shuffling songs is good. The file system was 'as is' for iTunes and all the songs worked. Actually, the file structure in iMac uses hidden files and these don't transfer across and stops the whole transfer process. I needed to spend about 3 hours deleting these hidden files first and then it all transferred smoothly. My .m4p (protected) songs needed to be converted (i.e. mp3).Very nifty device, price little steep, maybe wait for the non 40th anniversary edition model nw-a105 to drop in price and pick it up then.
Excellent high-res audio player with excellent output. Unfortunately it is let down by it's sub-par battery life which makes using it a hassle. The ability to use high-res streaming services along with downloaded audio is its biggest strength
Love the retro throwback. The sound quality is as expected from a Walkman. It's very convenient as my huge library doesn't fill my phone's storage anymore. Love using these.
Its a great music player, it captures the original walkman experience. The softcase could be more sturdy though.
Little but lots of fun. Extra capabilities with SD facilitates adding more files(Songs&Pics). Genius idea & delicate creation speaks of Sonys history. Missing video capabilities. Some what expensive for average buyers & Particularly young ones. No earphones or accessories included , shame on you Sony.
I almost went with the NW-a105, but I knew I’d regret not having the nostalgia of the little Walkman case. Maybe not worth it if you didn’t have a Walkman in the 80s. I paired this with a 400GB SD card and a pair of Fiio FA1s. My entire music collection can now travel with me all the time. I’ve found using bulky music players isn’t ideal as they’ll download all the artwork files and fill your internal memory very quickly. For files the Sony player can’t handle, VLC works well. All the hours I spent ripping my CD collection 20 years ago have now really paid off - raspberries iTunes Match. Battery life isn’t great, but charging isn’t an issue. Make sure to update the software as soon as you start it up, or battery drain while sitting around will be even worse.
