Budget Friendly Option Good Bass

First of all these are a brilliant option if you are looking for a budget friendly set of Bluetooth ear buds. The sound quality whilst not the best on the market is very good especially the bass. I usually find using headphones at this price point sacrifices the quality in this area however there is a really good robust bass from these headphones. The mid range detail and high end is ok for day to day listening ( I have the WF1000XM5 Buds and they are amazing but cost a lot more )but if your looking for better quality you would expect to be paying a lot more. The Headphones come with optional size ear rubbers and are light and comfortable for long sessions. They easily paired up with my Bravia TV and lasted a couple of days of medium use on one charge.I loved the ... MoreFirst of all these are a brilliant option if you are looking for a budget friendly set of Bluetooth ear buds. The sound quality whilst not the best on the market is very good especially the bass. They can be kept in your pocket while out and about and they charge back up from the dock when not in use,I found them to be an enjoyable good value option for wireless headphones and would recommend them as an additional set of headphones if for example you have larger Over ear headphones and you want something less visible but convenient to transport. The companion app for the headphones is also easy to use and you can access options to adjust to your sound preferences. No Real Negatives at this price point they are a good option.

I found the WF-C510s to meet my needs very well. I primarily use the headphones for exercising, walking my dogs and travelling by public transport. When exercising, I have found the headphones to be excellent. They fit in my ear quite comfortably and don't fall out when running or cycling. There's a technique to putting them in correctly (a twisting motion) however it's easy to feel when they are properly in place and once in they are very stable. They don't have noise cancelling, which I think when exercising is a bonus because I can hear quite clearly what's going on round about me, which I think is important for safety when on the open road.Walking the dog is an altogether more sociable pursuit where control is important - able to easily start, pause, change ... MoreI found the WF-C510s to meet my needs very well. It works well and because they don't block sound, I can carry on a short conversation without removing (and potentially losing) the buds. Even wearing gloves and holding two big dogs I was easily able to make the changes I needed. Very impressive.Where the C510s might lose out are when travelling where the absence of noise cancelling is noticeable. I'm not sure I would choose these if the main purpose was travelling by public transport, however it's fair to say that good noise cancelling would significantly increase the price point and the C510s seem to me to be very fairly priced for what they deliver. Both sound and build quality are very good as you would expect from Sony. As mentioned previously, the design (in particular how they comfortably "lock" in your ears) is first class. It's too early to comment definitively on battery life however in normal usage, I would have charged by now so for me, it's more than acceptable. The C510 come with their charging case and a number of replacement buds of various different sizes. The default size fitted me very well. Charging is using a USB-C (not supplied). A recurring criticism of many electronic suppliers is the excessively small print used in the documentation. Learn from my mistake and go straight to the little QR code in the leaflet, which links you to a comprehensive user manual with which you can easily set up the headphones and link them to your phone. The C510s aren't perfect, but as a mid-range headphone I think they are very difficult to fault particularly for exercise and other outdoor activities. I have noise cancelling headphones for travelling but on a day-to-day basis, these are now my go to pair. I have no problems in fully recommending these.

Don’t mistake lightweight for cheapness as they feel very solid in their construction.First use saw me taking longer than I should to initially pair them with my phone (clumsily dropping the phone and accidentally swiping out of the app when pairing so had to start over again). Luckily, pairing was simple and worked immediately. The Sony Headphones app is a great help and full of useful features for customising your experience with these buds (I had this installed already for previous headphones).First use was for music listening followed by podcast episodes one after the other for around 9 hours straight. The buds stayed secure in my ears all this time (but come with different sized tips to change out if needed), and were very comfortable without giving me any pain, numbness or general fatigue – I would say, these have been the comfiest I have ever used due to their close fit and lightweight structure.Sound was crisp and clear for podcasts, radio, streaming TV programs and for calls. A minor criticism is that I didn’t initially think it was loud or punchy enough for my tastes in music but a little tweaking of the EQ settings in the app to find my preference sorted out the punchiness and added a little more bass to my preference. Max volume loudness is acceptable to be honest and will make sure I don’t prematurely go deaf by listening to music too loud. Sound quality is amazing from a product at this price point (when compared to previous, more expensive Sony buds I owned).I then paired with my Sony TV (which was really easy to do) and again, sound quality was pretty good for this use. Only criticism here while recognising it is likely due to my own knowledge limitations, is that although the buds can be paired with 2 devices, they defaulted to the TV when it was switched on even though I was actively listening to another source. When switching back to my primary source, they jumped over to the TV again. This must be a setting to ensure switching is not automatic like this but I have not yet investigated this to be sure.A long walk through busy town centre streets confirmed just how secure a fit these were for me which meant that outside noise did not bleed through disrupting my listening. There is an option for Ambient Sound Control which seems to be great to ensure high quality sound combined with outside noise (and voice) passthrough to maintain awareness however I haven’t truly tested this feature yet to comment.I have not yet tried using these while running but don’t see why they would present a problem when being active in the gym, running or out cycling. I admit also that I have not setup nor found a use for the 360 Reality Audio feature but this might be a really useful feature for others.Battery life appears really impressive; I have now used for around 20 hours so far and the case shows 50% charge while both buds are still at 100% right now, indicating that the overall runtime on a full charge will be way more than that advertised (11+11 in case). This will all depend on the options you switch on and the sound level you use of course. I do miss wireless charging but at this price point, this omission can be forgiven. In summary, the WF-C510s are a great piece of kit for the price point with main highlights being the compact and perfect case, amazing sound quality, lightweight and perfect fit, and long battery life. You won’t be disappointed!

Headphones for people on the go.

My phone found them and with a click of my screen I was ready to go.For smaller or larger ears Sony provide 3 different size tips. They fit comfortably and i like how to lock them in place the shape of the buds is designed to allow you to twist them slightly for a locked in comfortable wear. With easily locates buttons on the back of each bud pausing or skipping tracks is easy to manage. Finally reviewing the sound I would say that whilst they wont compete with some of Sonys headphones designed to give you that extra base boost, these headphones are clear and offer a reasonable range moving through the equaliser avaliable on the app.

Hours of sensational sound in complete comfort

The new Sony WF-C510 Truly Wireless Headphones now incorporate stunning audio advances with immense benefits for earbud listeners. It goes without saying that they are compact, lightweight, comfortable, unobtrusive, JPX-certified to be sweat and water-splash resistant and come with small, medium, and large, easily interchangeable silicone rubber earbud tips for an absolutely perfect fit. Available in an attractive selection of four colours (black, light blue, yellow and white), they now boast up to twenty-two hours battery life (eleven in the buds themselves and a further eleven hours’ charge in the pocket or hand-bag sized, cylindrical charging case) together with a five-minute quick-charging facility permitting an additional hour’s extended listening if required. ... MoreThe new Sony WF-C510 Truly Wireless Headphones now incorporate stunning audio advances with immense benefits for earbud listeners. Four further, wonderful enhancements include multipoint connectivity for simultaneous playback from two Bluetooth devices so that if you listen to music on one device and a call comes in on another, Sony’s technological magic pauses the music, allows you to respond, then resumes the music automatically. The second feature concerns the Digital Sound Enhancement Engine which ensures high-quality clarity and richness particularly for higher frequency sounds and musical registers. Additionally, when connected to the Sony Headphones Connect App, music and speech can be adjusted precisely to reflect personal, listening tastes and preferences. Thirdly, these earbuds, powered by a highly reliable Bluetooth chip and antenna, transmit sound simultaneously to both ears, rather than employing a more conventional left to right Bluetooth relay transmission. A control button on each headset (pressing, once, twice, three times, together with a hold function) instantly controls music volume, playback, phone calls and advanced voice assistant operations. A forth feature relating to the Ambient Sound external microphones on the earbuds enables listeners always to remain alert to their surroundings. I found pairing the earbuds to be quick, easy, and reliable with Windows ten and eleven desktops and laptops, Apple iMacs, Macbooks, and iPads, and Samsung Galaxy mobile phones and tablets. These earbuds guarantee an outstanding listening experience for all with a crisp clarity of sound and an authentic voice quality for telephone calls, speech, and drama podcasts, and rich and fully immersive stereophony for music, choral and concert hall performances. Optimum help and guidance are best sought from the Sony website and associated videos because the literature supplied is minimal both in content and font size which makes reading and understanding difficult. Nevertheless, while the sound quality will exceed most expectations, the advanced audio technology, versatility, and ease of use of these new earbuds will bring pleasure to all music lovers allowing even those with hearing impairments to enjoy anew cherished listening experiences.

The Headphones Connect app is good for extra tips, one of my favourites being the Spotify shortcut operated with a double tap to one of the earbuds, this works really well. The paper instructions supplied are a but small to read so once again just use the connect app.At the price point you can’t expect them to come with their own charger but they do come with a USC C to C cable which is fine.My work role sometimes requires me to get into awkward spaces perhaps on my back and I have always over the years struggled to find a set of small earphones which would stay on my ears especially when trying to answer a phone call. These earbuds stay in my ears and don’t fall out even when upside down, and don’t seem to catch on things in tight spaces.Earbuds can easily be overlooked if you have a good set of headphones but once I started using these I will take them everywhere.

These WF-C510 Truly Wireless Headphones come in an oval shaped box with a flat bottom that will stand on any desk top or shelf and fits easily in a pocket. On the back of the box there is a USB-C socket for charging. However, a USB-C cable is not supplied with these ear buds, not a major issue but you will need to supply your own charging cable. Two small and 2 large spare tips in addition to the ones fitted to the ear buds.As usual with Sony products there is quite a few pieces of paperwork in the box, which I find at times confusing. However, the good news is that on the paperwork (next to No1) there is a QR code that can be scanned and this will reveal all the details you need for ‘setting up’ and using the ear buds. I found the app quite easy to understand and the ‘set up’ instructions were quite clear. One of the first things I noticed about these ear buds was the high build quality and how light they are compared to others I have owned. They fit in the ear comfortably and formed a good seal in my ears. I normally have problems with ear buds falling out of my ears but these ones were good and stayed in place all the time I used them. The volume level can be controlled by repeated presses (clicks) on the bud buttons. Left bud will lower the volume and right will raise it. Various other functions can be carried out on the bud buttons like receiving or ending a call, skipping tracks, ambient mode, play or pause music and so on.As for the sound quality. Considering the very low sale price of these headphones I found the sound quality superb and was impressed with the fact I could also adjust the sound balance via the Sound Connect app. The balance of the sound was perfect and the bass and treble effective, balanced and not overpowering. I often like to listen to classical music, so I found the fact that I could adjust the sound balance to suite the type of music I am listening to very useful. To summarise, the WF-C510 Truly Wireless Headphones are a delight to use. The sound clarity is superb and the fact that a charge lasts 11 hours in the buds and another 11 hours in the case makes the usage time more than impressive. Great quality product from Sony at a good price.

I've been testing a set of wireless Bluetooth in-ear buds, and overall, I've had a positive experience using them on my android phone! It says on the box that these have been designed for iPhone and iPod however I don't own any Apple products.Design & Build Quality: The buds come in a sleek and sturdy, compact case that also doubles as a recharging cradle. The case is well-designed, easy to carry, and provides additional battery life on the go ( 11 hours from the buds and 11 hours from the case ). This feature is great for ensuring comfort, especially during long listening sessions.Sound Quality: The sound quality is impressive for in-ear buds. They provide clear audio with balanced highs and mids, and a decent level of bass. While not the most bass-heavy buds, they perform well across a variety of musical genres.Connectivity: The Bluetooth connection is stable, and pairing was quick and easy. I didn’t experience any major connection drops, even when moving around. The range is as expected for most Bluetooth devices, allowing freedom of movement without losing connection.Comfort & Fit: Thanks to the extra rubber ear pieces, finding the right fit was easy. However, I found that a slight twisting action while inserting the earbuds helps them stay securely in place. Once in, they sit comfortably and remain stable, even during workouts or commutes. This twist-to-fit method ensures they don’t slip, which is a big plus for active users. I didn’t experience any discomfort after extended wear.( I have included 2 photographs to show how I twist the buds into my ear to fit securely. Position A to Position B)Battery Life: Battery life is one of the standout features. The earbuds lasted several hours on a single charge, and the case provided a good amount of additional playtime. I didn’t find myself needing to recharge the case too often, even with regular use.Cons:The bass, while decent, may not satisfy users looking for a more powerful low-end experience.NO Type C USB cable included.Overall: These Bluetooth in-ear buds offer excellent value, with good sound quality, a comfortable fit, and solid battery life. They are a great option for both casual listening and more active use.

During my 72 years on this planet, I have had and have many Sony products, including TVs, cameras, laptops, and headphones. I have never been let down. These earbuds are no exception and are the best I've used. The earbuds are packaged smartly in a small discreet box. The contents include a charging case with the earbuds, a comprehensive collection of tips so that buds fit any size of ear, and a USB-C cable. The manual that accompanies the earbuds is not the most helpful document I've come across, but it does contain a QR code so that an app can be downloaded, either from the Android Play Store or the Apple App Store. The app is called 'Headphones' (so don’t search for ‘Sony’) and can be used with all Sony listening devicesThe app is essential for the use of the earbuds as it allows you to register the buds with Sony, connect the buds to different devices, and contains examples of what the buds are capable of, which is a bit of a surprise. A tutorial in the app demonstrates ways of using the buds with a phone, taking calls, listening to tracks, etc.Not only that, but the tutorial includes how to wear them for the best effects, how to switch on/off ambient sounds, an equaliser and then... the 360 Reality Audio setup.360 Audio Reality is a technology that aims to replicate the experience of being in a live music environment. Sounds come from all around you. The recording studio creates the output that is used by the buds, so only dedicated recordings will be reproduced in 360 Audio. There are examples in the app that are quite impressive.Coming from a professional orchestral background, I've never heard the breadth and depth of an orchestra reproduced by even the most expensive audio equipment. Therefore, I'm not surprised that these buds, no matter how cutting edge, cannot duplicate a full orchestral sound. This is not a criticism, but an observation. However, I can quite believe that electronic performances from the music industry can sound extraordinary through these buds. When not producing 360 Audio Reality, the earbuds perform as stereo devices superbly. I’ve used them as a car passenger and whilst travelling by train. The Sony WF-C150 are perfect for travelling; very small, discreet, powerful, and sound cancelling. I would recommend them to anyone.

Unobtrusive headphones with high-quality sound

These are good headphones, and I mean no disrespect when I say that I hadn't expected them to be as good as they are. I think Sony has done a good job with these. I tested them on a range of music (1970s and 1980s mostly, but also jazz) and with radio and podcasts.Unboxing was easy. The safety and compliance documentation, as always, is printed in tiny type, so some people may need a magnifying glass. However, I'm genuinely unsure how many people read this.Setting up took literally seconds: just add them as a Bluetooth device and you're up and running (my experience was in adding them to a MacBook Air and to an iPhone). The user guide can be accessed by using QR code. There is an app to download, but as I already had another set of Sony headphones I already had a copy.I listen to more voice – radio and podcast – than music, and in that category these headphones operate well. I also want to highlight that I have a slight hearing problem (age-related), often having to ask for words or phrases to be repeated. I did not have any hearing problems when using these headphones: all words were intelligible on first listening. The number of button presses causes certain actions to take place, for example four presses of the right button increases volume. The buttons work flawlessly.
