I purchased these about a month ago. This is my first foray into wireless noise canceling headphones in about five years, I am impressed with the improvements. The sound quality is simply terrific, approximately as good as a set of wired headphones of similar cost. The wireless link is reliable, no interference or dropouts noted though in fairness I usually use these with my phone which is never more than a few feet away.I purchased these in part to replace a set of headphones that I use when I cut my grass. The headphones knocks the mower noise down to a really surprising level, and even with the noise reduction working that hard the audio still sounds great. I also very much appreciate the touch features of these headphones. My experience with non-phone/computer gesture sensing has not been good. However these sense tap and swipe gestures very reliably.The headphones come in a small zippered case and include accessories such as an airplane adapter and hardwired cable. They charge in three hours or less, usually much less, from USB-C. Sony also has an app available for iOS and android that provides various settings for noise reduction, equalizer, and setting the function of a dedicated button on the headphones. I can't speak to the iOS version but the android version works well, I've had absolutely no issues with it.Overall I think these are a great choice, and well worth the price.

When watching TV in the office - I'm 9-10 feet away from it - the sound will suddenly warble for stretches of time, from as few as 10-15 seconds up to 3+ minutes. There has been less of that the past few months, but also, I have been using them progressively less and less, which could account for the apparent reduction.What's still happening with EVERY single use, however, are the dropped bluetooth connections. Whether I'm walking, working in the garage, or just sitting at my desk, the connection will drop and have to be manually re-started. It's extremely frustrating and today, I reached my wits' end. I turned them off for the final time and listed them for sale.I'm going to try the XM5s, however, if the same issues appear, I will be returning them immediately.

You'll need to have music playing, because if you're listening to podcasts or anything with just voice, you will be able to hear some background (depending on of course how loud the background is - my gym isn't too loud and I can still hear a fair amount).- The connection routinely cuts in and out on my iMac (but not my iPhone). I changed the bluetooth connection in the app to the lower quality sound, but more reliable connection but I still have issues (just not as often as the higher quality sound connection). This only is really an issue when watching videos on my computer. When it cuts out for a sec or two, it'll create a mismatch between the audio and the video, so they won't be in sync. Which would be really annoying if you're watching a TV show or movie.
