Install was easy with the help of some aerpro plug in harnesses, only tool I needed was a screwdriver and was able to install in about an hour with the help of a friend.Out of the box wired Android auto works great, bluetooth function is also very seamless.Certainly makes a difference to sound quality over the stock unit, with much clearer bass.Would Certainly recommend for someone looking for carplay/Android on a budget

I liked the ease of installing the unit. It really can’t get much easier. My only complaint it the anti glare screen is super dark on a sunny day. I have even adjusted the settings but the way the radio is positioned in a Tacoma with the windshield, there are times it’s really hard to see what’s in the screen which really bothers me when I’m using my navigation through Apple CarPlay.

Don't recommend.I needed extra 4 cables, more than SCA staff mentioned, and that is without steering wheel connection or camera. One of those cables not available from SCA (aerial) plug.

Installed this unit into a 2004 Corolla for my daughter, great head unit that works perfectly with Android Auto and Apple devices.Fully wired up for reversing camera, handbrake and headlight integration, using ISO harness adaptors for most connections except those three.Reversing camera is quick to start and clear as possible, handbrake integration works perfectly on Android Auto, which makes you use voice commands and cant type on the screen for Maps unless handbrake is on (perfect for newly licensed drivers).Sound is clear and plenty of volume for most regular applications. Pre-out for those who want extra doof.

Most features work well including Bluetooth connection. Having issues with the Android Auto which is only accessible via a USB connection to the head unit. Having issues with the music playback freezing about 30 seconds in and the connection to Android Auto (AA) then appears lost. You need to press the home button and wait for the head unit to become active again which is frustrating. I have read elsewhere that the quality of the USB connection to your phone may be the problem so currently working through this issue with the purchase of a good quality USB cable to see if this makes a ... I love this stereo. I had a couple of issues with the design and functionality though. The design for my 4Runner eliminated the volume knob, so there are only buttons on the stereo itself. They are a bit slow to react and I wish I still had the knob available. The other issue is that it seems to live in demo mode. There are functionality “advertisements” on the screen unless I’m plugged into and using CarPlay. Also phone calls sound a little distorted now. This may be a setting but if it is, I can’t find it.The kit itself is awesome. Installation was a piece of cake, and I’m not a stereo pr car person. It took me like an hour, as a total noob. The installation videos made it seamless. They also sent a box of nerd candy which was delicious. Lol.
I bought this headunit a few weeks ago for my Hilux,and the service I got from suoercheap was nothing short of appalling. The order was collected via click and collect,where they gave us a JVC headunit to begin with. Once it was exchanged,they gave us the correct headunit,butbthey wrong Sony harness, not the one we bought. So when the radio was plugged in and power was applied to the car,it blew three seperate fuses in the car,rendering mist of the accessories useless. When the unit was returned,the manager treated me like dirt,and mad eevrything sound like my problem. I spent over an hour in the carpark checking fuses and trying to install the radio correctly. Once the radio and accessories were fixed,for a few weeks the radio would randomly stop working,then flick ... Just had unit installed after Christmas/New Year wait. Very happy with unit in older model Subaru Impreza. Purchase experience was not so great. After choosing unit the salesperson then wrote a list of parts needed for installation costing over $200, 3 of the 4 needed to be ordered. When i suggested the sign advertising “Installation can be arranged” should be removed he responded “ We can tell you where to go.” Hardly helpful. Total cost for very professional installation $240
Screen is difficult to see in direct sunlight. Had issues connecting to phone for android auto, constant disconnecting and reconnecting by the headunit software. Found firmware was up to date on the unit.turned USB debugging on phone to on under developer options.Overall, works as intended price is too high for what you get. Sound quality improved to stock speakers over stock headunit.
