I bought Sophie for my first nephew and he absolutely loved her! Sophie is great for babies as they are teething and learning to grasp things with their tiny hands. Sophie was such a hit she was near his side all the time. This is my second Sophie for my newest nephew who will be born in May. Great baby shower gift and very dependable and loveable toy! 5 star recommendation!

I just bought this new Sophie for my 4th baby. She loves it! She's 5 months and chewing on everything. Sophie has always been my favorite. It seems to last 1-2 kids, somehow ends up in the tub then is done for. I love it's made in France and makes a squeak. The best baby gift I've given my babies.

I have three grown children, but I have given Sophie and Sophie sets to my nieces and nephews, and now is my go-to baby gift. I always received pictures of the babies loving their Sophie. Thank you Nordstrom for having such a great product.

Sophie is perfect for a teething toddler! My daughter loves her squeak and, for whatever reason, really enjoys chewing on her. I give her 4 stars only because of the cost (we lost one and I wasn't crazy about spending another $30 to replace her) and also because she's not able to be washed without taking special care to not get her fully submerged.

Two grandkids have approved Sophie for play and parental sanity. At the end of the day- it's the sanity, not the price or what kind of rubber tree, or that the toy is of French origin-- that makes the difference. Sophie was the first toy baby boy could hold easily. Her head massages the front gums and the feet reach the back gums. Sophie squeaks and is an awesome attention getter if you are trying to draw attention away from cell phones, keys or other inappropriate attractants. New parents may not understand why they need a $24.50 baby teether. And by the time they do, they will be too tired to remember this necessity. Perfect shower gift.
This is not a solid piece - it is hollow and thin and it has a sqeeker in it. Not only does it look like a dog toy it smells like one too (cheap plastic)! Also you can't sanitize it, get it hot or put it in the dishwasher. So I'm supposed to "spot clean" something that goes in my baby's mouth? This is way overhyped - overpriced piece.I am a very loyal Nordies customer and this is the first time in a long time something dissapointed me so much. :(
As a mother, I not only appreciate the thoughtful construction and materials of this product, but I like that my kids actually use it - still! We originally got it as a gift for my first baby, and it held up through her toddler years and my second child has used it, as well! Surprisingly, what I thought of as a baby toy is still popular with my toddlers. I can't say the same about half of the other toys we have in our playroom! It's nice to have something that lasts. I definitely recommend!
Sophie is my daughters best friend, just kidding it's mommy, but she really does enjoy it. My baby is four months old and loves her Sophie. My baby is constantly putting her hands in her mouth, trying to comfort herself - Sophie is takes the cake in that she is both comforting and fun to play with! I love that i can wash this toy off easily, plus it's super cute.
My son has to farewell his toy too early. The giraffe teared off after about 3 months in use, way before he had . He hasnt got a tooth. Other teething toys survive longer than the expensive Giraffe.Apart from the short lived, the toy is excellent teething toy
