Loved the different ways baby can bite this thing, and the material. However I’m docking a star because I found the ear to be a TAD pointy and my son almost nailed himself in the eye. Also the way the handles are on that makes it kinda awkward for holding sometimes, but that can vary baby to baby. I like how this one can get wet without the fear of mold.

My LO loves this teether! Shes our #4 so we’ve been through plenty of brands of these things. She’s 5 months, no teeth yet but in the bringing everything to mouth stage and the design is awesome for tiny hands to hold. She loves biting it and it’s not too hard for her gums. It’s our first Sophie product, I’m glad I purchased it.

Had the original Sophie with my first child and they never really took to it. This one is much smaller and easier for little ones to grasp. My 2nd born loves to bite on the ridges. Great for teething! Buy this one!

Amazing teether!! I wasn’t ready to commit to the big Sophie so I got this one for my little one and I’m so glad I did! The handles are so easy for little hands and I think the material/thickness must be soothing for gums because he STILL chooses this one over the other teethers we have. A year later and it has some paint chips (which is supposedly OK since it claims to be food grade paints). It also attracts dirt easy, if you’ve ever used a yoga mat made of natural rubber, you get it. She’s easy to wipe clean though!!
This is one of my baby’s favorite chew toys. Easy for him to grab and not so big/small, just the right size to stick into his mouth and chew. My older son had the regular sized Sophie 5 yrs ago and it was ok, but he didn’t really care for it until 9 months. Also sometimes when we washed the big Sophie let our son bring it into bath, water would stay stuck inside. Very hard to squeeze all water out and got moldy fast. Love this smaller Sophie design with the handles. Was worried before with some of the previous negative reviews about pieces coming off and such, but that hasn’t been the issue for my baby so far. He’s fairly aggressive when he chews too. There’s so many teething toys out there; just have to find what works for your baby!
We got this as a gift, and I plan to give this as a gift to other new moms. It’s kind of expensive for a teething toy (I probably wouldn’t have bought it), but it has been my 4 month-old’s most used toy for the past few weeks. It’s small enough for her to grab and hold, and the giraffe portion is easier for her to chew on. She can’t get a good grip or bite on the regular sized Sophie (we also got as a gift).
I’d already gotten so many teethers to try and I wasn’t sure what would make this one so good but my sister recommended it so I figured I would try it. I still don’t totally understand it but my baby really loves it. It is easy to grab and bend. It has a few different textures and corners to use for soothing. It’s been a worthwhile purchase.
My Son just turned 4 months and his gums are bothering him. I was looking for something to help him ease the pain. After reading all the wonderful reviews about sophie I was sold and ordered it for my child. When it arrived it was perfect size and was pleased with the material, the only thing I thought was dangerous is the pointy ears. My Son is learning how to grab things and they go straight to the face. On two occasion I saw him almost poke his eye with the corner of the ear which made me very nervous. I will not let him use it unsupervised. I hope I can still return it.
My daughter loves this! I bought it for her even she was 4 months and was having a little bit of a hard time grabbing it right. She would put the whole giraffe head in her mouth and gag. Now that she's 6 months, she loves it and it fits perfectly in her hands. She's able to control it better now. Great product, easy to clean, and such a great teether. Definitely recommend!
My little grandson seems to like his Sophie Giraffe. It is easy for little hands to hold and put in his mouth. We are a bit concerned about keeping it clean as you are not supposed to sterilise it or immerse it in water. They are very popular though so maybe this isn’t a problem.
