Nemesis offers 26 distinct effect engines ranging from vintage tape and analog delays to highly advanced pitch-shifting, reverse, filter modulating, and rhythmic delays. It also features 128 presets, multiple delay taps, a hold function, tap tempo, full MIDI control, deep editing functionality with the Neuro Mobile App and much more. The Nemesis Delay captures the full spectrum of delay effects, starting with a comprehensive collection of meticulously crafted vintage delay tones. The Source Audio engineering team spent over a year studying numerous iconic and sought after tape and bucket brigade delay units with a staunch dedication to identifying their every nuance and idiosyncrasy. The Nemesis’s Tape, Noise Tape and Slapback delays capture all the characteristic flutter, warmth, and color that give vintage tape delay machines like the Echoplex and Space Echo their classic charm. The Analog delay engine beautifully achieves the resonant peaks combined with high and low frequency decay that typifies classic bucket brigade delay pedals. The pedal’s Digital delay manufactures pristine, high definition repeats with or without filtering effects for a classic rack-system tone.At the opposite side of the spectrum, ’ll find an advanced collection of sophisticated and specialized delay effects. The Shifter delay generates perfect polyphonic pitch intervals with repeats jumping to either an octave (up or down), major or minor third, 4th, or 5th. Sweeper applies modulating filter effects to repeats for a unique delay/wah hybrid tone. Backwards effects like Helix and Reverse provide a perfect blend of chaos and control with multi-tap reverse patterns and angelic pitch shifting effects. A Rhythmic delay features an engaging and musical collection of non-standard multi-tap delay patterns.

I could happily talk all day about why I love the Nemesis! There aren't many delay pedals I haven't owned at one point or another, I considered myself a collector or reverbs and delays, having a stereo pair for many of my favorites, such as the Canyon, Dispatch Master, Vapor Trail and ARP-87 just to name a small few. That all started to change when I got my first Nemesis ( I now own 2 with a 3rd to be added soon, Triple Delay madness anyone?)I began using the Neuro app to try and replicate other delay pedals that I had. When I was successful, I felt that I no longer "had" to have the replicated pedal, and I have thinned my collection of pedals almost to nothing but the nemesis for my delay solutions! I use my pedals for keys, VOX and foley sound design. I design ... MoreI could happily talk all day about why I love the Nemesis! The Nemesis along with many other Source Audio One Series have pretty much taken over for me because of the versatility and ease of dialing in customs sounds and being able to experiment easily!

One of the best delay pedals I've owned. The stereo separation is really good. Not just a ping pong either. The delays can wash between speakers creating a 3D ambient atmosphere you could get lost in.Like the Ventris it's best used in stereo and with a MIDI controller, and the Neuro App to edit. This delay is a tinkerer's delight and I highly recommend it! For even more ambient fun put it in front of the Ventris Reverb. Boom! Ambient Nirvana

I got the Source Audio Ventris Reverb at the same time as the Nemesis and wow. What a combo. I was totally new to Source Audio so I didn't know what to expect but both exceeded my expectations. The Nemesis is so easy to work with yet there's so much you can do with it. I used it with guitar and synth and it took to both instantly. I imagine it would be nice for people who aren't really used to delays or maybe pedals in general because you can have some instant gratification, yet you can really dig deep with the Nemesis too. I'd seriously recommend this for anyone wanting a delay.

The Nemenis Delay is the most impressive delay I ever played. The sounds are amazing!!!There are 12 different Delay engines on the pedal with additional 12 engines with app and editor.I'm not a person who like to spend to much time on tweaking parameters e t c. But on this pedal its not a big deal and simple to understand and the given sound are fantastic. The app which is easy to use, and you get the cable to connect to your phone, you have i.e. Oil drum delay engine. Never heard of that delay before and is a sound I really like. As I'm not used to tweaking a lot, it took some time before I could use the Desk Top Editor. That cable was not included so I needed to order that separately. My suggestion would be to include that cable and maybe skip the DC9 adapter ... MoreThe Nemenis Delay is the most impressive delay I ever played. My suggestion would be to include that cable and maybe skip the DC9 adapter instead. Its just a DC9 200mA. I would be more than happy with the pedal even if the App and the Editor was not included, it is a v.e.r.y. complete Delay.
I tried a few delays lately, including the TC Electronic Triple Delay. In the high end, the sound quality is not an issue. They all sound great, and give a range of options, from pristine digital to classic tape and analog. What has me lovin the Nemesis is the high degree of control it offers. Just the knobs and switches alone give you just the right control. But dive into the MIDI controls and this becomes an instrument in itself. I control it with a Softstep foot pedal and I'm just beginning to customize it to exactly what I need in performance. And even without MIDI, you can customize all the presets and what the knobs/switches do with the Neuro app, which is amazingly easy to figure out--all you need is a smartphone; they even include the right cable in the box.
I use Nemesis with the momentary switch to access my presets. Very handy for live performance. Most of the delay categories are quite useful and sound very good. Tweakers paradise with Neuro mobile app. I can make changes anywhere. That is very sweet. I own three other delay units. All are different and fun to use. I judge an effect by how it makes me play. It has to push my creative button and it has to make me want to play and explore. This pedal does that. It's expensive, but not over priced. Big difference.
Overall:The Nemesis is a powerhouse Delay pedal in a pedalboard-friendly size. Great crystal-clear sound due to the 24bit processors. But if you want your delays down and dirty, this pedal can do that as well. It has an expression pedal jack and has both MIDI in and out for total DAW compatibllity. And you can't beat Source Audio customer assistance. I own several of their pedals and they just don't help me with their pedals, they give me great ideas for connections with my other gear.
The Source Audio Nemesis is a cracking delay. So much to tweak,. I’m still getting to grips with it but it’s going to be a proper inspiration machine. I bought the Ventris Dual reverb too and that is just as awesome.
