Suffering from shingles, my arm was super sensitive to the slightest touch from clothing, bed sheets, the wind and so on, that I found myself constantly bandaging my arm. I thought I would try the sun sleeve as an alternative and have been extremely happy with it. It is firm but not tight, stays up and is soft and cool on the skin. The extra bonus is the SPF 50 will protect my arm from the sun. A great find for my situation. I imagine this sleeve would be useful for protecting other skin irritations.

I live in Memphis, TN, so summers are exceedingly warm and humid. As someone in their mid-40s who has had a few basal cell spots I've been more attuned to sun protection. I noticed the local golf professional consistently wore sleeves, so I asked about them. He has multiple sets and raved about them, so I researched sun sleeves. SParms rose to the top with its widespread use on the LPGA and PGA tours. Among "brand names" these were the best priced and best reviewed. There are less expensive options, however do your due diligence and double check the product composition. Many bargain options are 100% polyester and do not provide the cooling and sun protection offered by these SParms sleeves.I've used these twice since receiving them. Temperatures were mid-90s with heat indexes near or above 110. Mentally, this alone provided a resistance to sleeves. I was pleasantly surprised by the "cooling" effect. I thought that was simply going to be a marketing pitch, but they genuinely provided a cooler feel to my arms. Three bonuses: 1) the sleeves didn't acquire a smell like many 100% polyester alternatives and 2) the sleeves stayed in place throughout my rounds and I didn't have to worry about them sliding around. 3) wearing the sleeves allowed me to avoid slathering sun screen or spray all over my arms and hands.Last, regarding sizing, do yourself a favor and follow the sizing guide provided before ordering. They have you measure your bicep relaxed and flexed and compare to their size chart. Very simple, but very helpful.

I wear these daily for my work, it works very well. It keeps my arm cool and less sweaty when I am working under the sun. However, I need to wear hi vis vest at work, which has velcro on it. The sleeves will stick to the velcro and get pill all over. Be careful!! I immediately go to buy a hi vis vest with zip instead of velcro.Anyways, it is great. I would recommend the sleeves to protect you from the sun.

Dixin chart gave excellent fit, sleeves very comfortable and do not cut in or pinching at top of arm. Material has a nice feel. Played 18 holes without any need to adjust sleeves. Great protection from the sun. Seamless experience and very prompt delivery.
Highly recommend these sleeves for hot, sunny day. Eliminates the need to constantly apply sunscreen on my arms, and I find that it wicks sweat and moisture on really warm days. If there is any breeze, it actually helps cool you off. Great buy.
I absolutely love these. Having had a melanoma, I’m extremely conscious of sun damage. I use these for cycling, walking, and also at work. They obviously protect my arms but also provide me with confidence to actually go outdoors when the UV index is up. I find they keep my arms cool in summer, and warmer in winter. The breathability of the material is outstanding, I never get hot arms in summer, which with other brands I was, particularly on a long climb on the bike with little airflow. I have to wear a uniform with short sleeves for work, I can wear the beige ones and unless people look closely, they can’t really be noticed. I also find when people do ask about them, the ensuing conversation regarding sun exposure etc is very enlightening for them! Great product, ... MoreI absolutely love these. SIZE DOWNI love Sparms and I have enjoyed very much the ones I have that go over my back like a bolero jacket. My husband loves his sleeves so I ordered some for myself in a size medium. I thought that was what the fitting chart indicated I should wear. But they will not stay up. I have slim arms, but I am tall and my arms are long. So maybe that is a bad combination.I would order some in a size small, but I don’t want to spend the money and take a chance that they won’t stay up. I will just continue to wear the over the back ones I have.
This is a comfortable arm covering for sun protection. Bolero style means the arms don't slide down. It is cut quite high on the arms so a sliver of skin is exposed between a sleeveless top and the bolero arms. Comfortable in very high humidity and 35 C heat. Extremely fast delivery!
Perfect for a summer gift. Great protection for when I drive. Sleeves do not fall down at all. True to size. Small and light enough to carry in a handbag so it is always at hand. Not hot but feels actually cool to wear. Bought one for myself, one for a gift. Will definitely purchase again.
Played about 5 hours in 110 degree weather with no shade on course. These were not restrictive and honestly didn't notice after I warmed up before round. After round skin felt normal even cool after removing. But forgot to apply sunscreen to hands and got sunburnt there so I can see the effectiveness. Don't know durability yet only played one time with them. Hand has to recover from sunburn till I can play again. One note, they are pretty snug where they are high on arms and leave a mark but rather have that then to keep slipping down. If you hate the heat or don't want to always apply sunscreen I definitely recommend. Stay safe and remember to apply the screen to other parts.
