They could do with an extra inch to be be properly high waisted but I can stretch them. I am usually a 10/12 in underwear and even though they looked very small initially, the S fitted me perfectly. Would definitely recommend

These gave me the confidence all day long in the clothes which can show lines and creases. I returned to purchase a second colour. Smaller waist and larger thigh shaped figure show no line mid-thigh and does not gape at the waistline.

For SPANX I always go larger because I don’t want to be uncomfortable but still have the support and coverage I need. I also like these because they are thin but still very supportive. I definitely say go up a size in all SPANX. I have hips and butt. 5’1 147

This is good quality shaper. I liked that it was very thin and it was holding in my stomach. However, I am petite size and this shaper was too high for my torso and too long on my legs. I am 5’2” and weigh 125lb. I needed a shaper to wear under a very thin evening gown to make my body smooth. But it was folding under my bra which was displaying a major line under my dress. And my evening dress had an opening on the left leg and the shaper was very visible. Even if I wore it with my regular mini dresses, the shaper legs would show up.I wish the shaper companies would make shapers for short, regular, and tall ladies. :(
Great quality but I got a Large- 16-18 (I normally wear a size 16 comfortably) but I found them super tight. My legs are on the larger side though. The waist was too tight on me so wasn’t flattering at all. So I ended up sending them back, especially because of the price. Bum looked great! But I would be scared for someone to touch my bottom as it’s very padded feeling haha but that’s not a bad thing! I would have kept them if they fitted better! So would recommend if you can get the sizing right.
I recently had a tummy tuck and was recommended to buy spanks for more comfort. I’m normally a size medium and had to buy these in an XL only because I’m very curvy and with a medium and Large it was hard for it to go up my thighs. The XL does the job well for me, you will struggle trying to pass it through your thighs but once you do the fit is just right. It fits very comfortable and doesn’t slide down either. I’m very happy with my purchase and just ordered it in 2 more colors.
The old version was so much better. The seams on the back of the 2.0 are lumpy -especially around the waist band near the tag, where as the old one was truly seamless. The older version had a seamless waist band too, this one is very noticeable. This looks like shape wear from Walmt. Why would Spanx change something that wasn't broken? Will probably return and try another brand.
I just can't with this shapewear... I have ordered so many different pairs of spanx branded shorts and they just keep failing me. These are no exception. The front has ZERO stretch which I think was the intent so they "smooth" you. The back has all the stretch. I ordered these in 2X + 3X (normally a size 18) just because sometimes shapewear is kind of unbearable when it's your true size. I tried on the 3X and didn't even bother with the 2X. The second I tried sitting down in these, they became low rise and rolled down, muffin top central - no thanks.
About 4-5 years ago I brought an earlier version of Thinstincts. I liked the earlier version a lot, but this version is MUCH better. The leg length is longer and doesn't roll up; the tummy control is a bit stronger but not restrictive and the waist stays put. If you are straight waisted or are a bit "fluffy" through the middle, you may not like how this shaper fits you. It fits snug on the waist and it could cause muffin top. Most of my "fluff" is in the hips and little in the tummy. I'm very pleased with this shaper so far.
I bought this to go under dresses and skirts. The material is light and comfortable and does not show through white. However the legs hit mid thigh. I tried to roll them under but then the legs completely rolled up and were very uncomfortable. I've taken them to my tailor to shorten. I hope the material doesn't roll on its own. There's nothing on the underside of the leg to help it stay in place.
