Bought this 2 days ago and used it for couple of hours today. My garden is riddled with weeds, and this weed puller is quite effective. Only problem is the clay soil of my garden together with the pulled out weed get stucked between the claws and after some time the sliding mechanism to eject the weed become more and more difficult. I had to use a knife to dig out the trapped weed and the mud from the claws. Not only it was hard work for both arms, time consuming as well. Rest of the garden I will do in few days time. I do not think it was the fault of the equipment but my garden soil is very clay and wet today I hope by trial and error i will be able to master the technique.

Its strongly built with first class materials easy to use
This could be slightly better designed - the puller could be a bit longer and thinner, it could grip tighter/better and it could take out less earth. It is good on thistles, dock can take a few tries to get a decent chunk of root. However, having said that, it is A solid piece of kit and ten times faster and much neater then trying to dig the roots out by hand. I have a new allotment in what was previously a farm field, and this is an essential and valuable tool for me.
I bought this to remove all the deep rooted dandelions and thistles from my garden. Theres a bit of a knack to it, but it works quite well once you get the hang of it.. it is not a twist and pull mechanism, more of a step on plate and pull towards you, then there is a release slider to eject the weed.
It works well. A little heavier than my previous Fiskars product but hopefully having a metal head that holds the working parts will mean that it lasts longer than the Fiskars did.
The weeder works very well, takes out a neat plug of soil with the weed and roots, and is easy to use. Construction and materials seem robust.
